I have PhotoShop Elements 8 (boxed DVD) installed on a HP Elite desktop with Intel i-core 7 processor with Windows 7 - 64 bit operating system. The PSE 8 organizer will not load and hangs up. The editior, however, loads. Unistalled and reinstalled the software and the results are the same.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Photoshop 8 won't load the organizer. (It will load the editor) It does this from time to time and usually, in a few days it works again. I have called adobe support in the past about this but they don't believe me. This time a week has gone by and I still can't get the organizer to open. So, I tried re-installing it from the disk. It uninstalled it and now, won't re-install it. I let my back up expire (as every few months I have to call adobe to get re-connected to it). Is adobe now blocking my installation? The installation gets to verifing and then deletes the files it just installed.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe organizer has suddenly become unstable. When I try and open PSPX3, the organizer shows the spinning blue circle, and that just stays there forever. At the top of the program it says "not responding". I have to force the program closed. I've had PSPX3 for about six months, haven't had any problems before.
Is there something like a main thumbnail catalog file that can be deleted, so that that PXPX3 will rescan the hard drive. It acts like that catalog has become corrupt.
I haven't installed any patches in the last six months, and I can't tell you what version I have, because the program won't open.
Running Windows 7, 64 bit.
How do I transfer the entire organizer of Elements 9 to the empty organizer in Elements 12? By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !

Photoshop Elements Organizer then hangs and I have to shoot this process as well. Also showing Not Responding. Restart Photoshop Elements Organizer and can see the photos that have been imported.
Host computer is an Intel Macbook Pro, 2.4G Core 2 duo preocessor, running OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) with a 128GB solid state drive and 8GB of 1067 Mhz DDR3 memory installed.
It happened more than a few times while attempting to merge six Tiff files, each with a file size of almost 12MB. The result was the same even after trying the photomerge with just three of the almost 12MB Tiff files.
I checked preferences to determine what the program's system memory requirements were, but discovered that I could not allocate more than 3GB of memory to PSE; it is recognizing not the 8GB which are installed but only 3GB.
I wasn't able to detect how to include a text file attachment here. Hang reports were saved and can be submitted.

I go to "my computer" to check the "drive" folder and it never appears for me to click on it and open it. It also doesn't automatically load which I have turned on. I have verified it is a DVD drive.

When I go to Elements organizer, a little box comes up saying "restoring people recognition data". It shows that it has run to 22% but then stops and I have to close out the photoshop program because I can't do anything else with it.This is a brand new, expensive, program. As soon as i start the program it starts up and disappears some seconds later. I only can see it in task manager as a process running in the background!
