I've been using Photoshop Elements for more than 10 years now and I use it for 40,000+ photos, videos and PDF.
I'm currently using Elements 11 on 64 bit Windows 7, but the problem has been there for the last few versions. I've had a consistent problem that when I exit the organiser, the process is left running. I can see it listed in the task manager. In order to re-lauch the program, I have to first kill the process.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving installed Photoshop Elements 11(Windows 7) I cannot open the Organiser from the welcome screen. It can be opened via the Editor but few of the thumbnails are shown as pictures rather as empty squares. The situation does not improve with time but tends to get worse with pictures turning into squares. I have tried the tip with preferences but to no avail.

Im using the program for longer times without any problem.But since nearly a week the new pictures, i import to my PC will not shown as a miniature in the organizer screen. i only see a sand-glass. Older pictures are already to see and i can select a single picture to see just this one...it will be shown.
I try to reorganize my catalog...doesn't change.
the organizer doesn't present thumbnails in alphabetical order which is crucial for my business as everything I do is based on a running number. There fore I like to suggest to Adobe to create a patch where this problem is fixed. Its a shame that Elements 11 doesn't contain this function as it has any way been improved in so many other ways.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Inventor Product Design Suite 2012. When I try to exit Inventor 2012 it just hangs there indefinitely every time. I have to use task manager to shut down Inventor. It doesn't matter if I use Inventor during that session or not. It was installed with all default settings and most current patches installed. It was also installed with administrator privledges and UAC turned off. This ia a clean install on a new hard disk drive.
The AutoCAD products in the bundle will hang sometimes on exit if plotting was the last command in that session.
My system is:
HP XW 8400
Dual Zeon 3.0 GHz CPU's
4 GB Ram
NVidia Quadro FX1800 Graphics Card
Windows 7 Professional with all current updates
All drivers are current
There are no anti virus software packages on this system. The hard drive still has 120 GB free space.
How do I transfer the entire organizer of Elements 9 to the empty organizer in Elements 12? By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using PE9. Every time I go to the Organizer (even after switching to another program briefly) the Update box appears, searching Watched Folders for new pics. It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.

The PSE Editor PROCESS continues to run in the Task Manager even AFTER I close the Editor. - and ONLY if I END the Process in Task Manager ( or re-start the computer) will the Editor then launch. Did a clean install. Problem continues.

When I go to Elements organizer, a little box comes up saying "restoring people recognition data". It shows that it has run to 22% but then stops and I have to close out the photoshop program because I can't do anything else with it.This is a brand new, expensive, program. I've had Adobe Photoshop 8 since it first came out and had no problem. I see by the chat line that the Organizer (Adobe 12) has had problems since 2009....

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have installed PSE 11 and PRE 11 on my PC, running windows 8 64 bit. The programs were already running fine for several days but suddenly the organizer wont work. As soon as i start the program it starts up and disappears some seconds later. I only can see it in task manager as a process running in the background! When I start the editor first and afterwards the organizer (out from the editor) then the organizer stays and I'm able to work with. De- and Re-installation already done, several times.

I'm running Vista Home premium SP2. The product was working OK until about a week ago but now wont open.
I have renamed the PSA file and the Status.dat file but no luck.
I have tried to get to catalog manager by CTRL-Shift on selecting organizer from the welcome screen but it just goes back to the desktop.
The Editor appears to work but I can't access Organizer from there either--nothing happens.
I am using Photoshop Elements 12 on a new Mac using OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks. The Organizer crashes frequently while I am browsing single images and using the direction arrows to look at the next image. It will also crash when I browse the thumbnails and enlarge a single image in the organizer. There are about 26k images in my library. Some are on an auxiliary drive. I have stacked the images into about 450 stacks to try and cut down on system workload. This problem can occur with only a few hundred images in the organizer from a new download. My system has 8 GB Ram and 1 Terabyte drive which is a combination hard and Fusion drive. The crashes do not occur on every image which is enlarged, just enough to make this process very frustrating. The system restarts quickly, but I have to find the image again and it usually crashes a few more times on the same image. Last week, it took two hours to select three images for a competition and the system crashed at least a dozen times.
I have not lost any data. I have been sending the reports to Adobe. So far I have sent more than 60 reports with no automated suggestions. I am finding this product unstable and unsatisfactory.
What is wrong with Adobe and their PSE program? PSE 9 Organiser crashes every time on opening and I have cleared the catalogue. Downloaded PSE 11 Trial version, found my photo's and old catalogue (on which I had spent a lot of time many months ago) then crashed!
