I reinstalled the photoshop Elements 8 to correct the view display. Now I cannot access Organizer as it locks up when i attempt to sign in. It seems to be trying to access a catalog that I do not use. How do I gain access to organizer?

Just upgraded from Elements 5.0 to 11 and Organizer locks up. I can run the editor, what can I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed Elements 12 on my new computer and imported my backup file from Elements 8 on the old computer. The photos all came across and the catalog was converted. However, as soon as I start Organizer, Elements closes down. I am using Windows 8.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI reset preferences, deactivated then reinstalled PS CS6 and CS6 64bit same issue. If I open PS CS6 (not x64) I can access preferences without a problem. I'm running windows 8 64bit. Everything else in x64 works normally (editing ect). Edit>Preferences>Camera Raw works. Anything else I choose in Preferences and PS freezes and I have to End Task in Task Manager.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have found, that when setting up the Organizer in the Edit workspace, which then has a number of images displayed, if I close PSP, and remove an image using Windows Explorer in the folder that the Organizer had displayed, that when restarting PSP, it freezes immediately after loading.
As I have the Edit workspace set to open first, and because the Organizer was displayed when closed down, it tries to open it with the missing images displayed as gray boxes, and every option in the program locked.
Because it locks immediately, it doesn't allow any changes to fix this problem. The only way to close it is the windows task manager, End Process. So consequently, the only way to access the program is to either uninstall and re-install, or find the original image with the same file name and copy it back to that folder, so that it matches what PSP has displayed for that folder.
Not sure this is a bug, that PSP, when loading, doesn't recognize the changes within the folder it is displaying by the Organizer, or a problem that has a fix?
How do I transfer the entire organizer of Elements 9 to the empty organizer in Elements 12? By the way, Elements 9 is so defective, it will not even let me back up my organizer in 9. The 9 organizer would let me select a photo, bring it into the editor, print it and then it would crash... then I had to start all over again... the darn thing crashes as it was prone to problems that adobe ignored. Is it better to just re-load all the photos from a fresh folder that is on my desktop? There are 5,000 !
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using PE9. Every time I go to the Organizer (even after switching to another program briefly) the Update box appears, searching Watched Folders for new pics. It always finds them, frequently the same, imports them and then tells me they're already in the Organizer. During this process, which may last 5-15 minutes, I can't use the program.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI cannot access my fonts menu. The drop down menu is blank box and snaps shut. I also have trouble with "save as" and file format...ie save as jpg...the drop down quickly snaps shut, I can often catch it after several tries but seriously lol.
These issues have something to do with user settings...I made a secondary account and the program works fine but changing between accounts is not the best solution. Where/what I need to look at in user settings ?
My E10 organizer has all of the thumb nails. However, All photos taken in a vertical format, have yellow question marks. All but a very small number of Photos taken in the horzontal format do not have a ? mark. I cannot reconnect to any of img files.

I recently got a new PC with Windows 7 so I could not install PSE 3. I downloaded PSE9 trial version to see if all worked well and it was worth the purchase. The problem I am having is that I cannot seem to get my Photoshop (CS2) as a supplementary editing option. When I try it tells me this
But if I don't add it like it says, there is not a Photoshop option when I go to the "edit with" list.
I don't know if this is right, but from the little bit of research I did it thinks I am trying to add Elements again because the Elements program exe file starts with "Photoshop" so when it reads the Photoshop.exe file it thinks it is a duplicate. I tried creating a copy and renaming the Photoshop.exe file which almost worked. Elements allowed me to select it as a supplementary editor and afterwards Photoshop was an edit option. I tried to edit a photo with it and while the program opened, it then got an error message and ended up closing before the photo came up for editing.
use Photoshop as my editor. I really liked how I could edit in PS and keep a neat catalog of edited versions with the Elements versioning capability. If I can't do it I probably won't end up purchasing the PSE9 program.
I know that I have a photomerge feature with my Elements 10 but do not know how to access it.

I'm busy doing a photobook but I find when i open the book it will open the page, layouts and graphics icons (bottom right) but i cannot get the layouts to open. When I open this option it opens a blank page. All my pages are there and all the graphics options and samples graphics appears as normal.
When I open a new photobook - the layouts icon opens as normal and I can pick the various options for the number of photos per page.
It's installed but when I look at DVD templates I only get several choices and it's trying to download the templates - I thought the content disk contained many more...how does one access that content?
