View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just converted catologues from PSE 7 to trial PSE11, and albums are listed, but tags don't seem to have migrated with the albums. Do I have to go back and tag over 16000 images?
View 1 Replies View RelatedUsing Photoshop Elem’7- I have had a major problem with my pc and I have gone back to factory settings, I have reloaded the Photoshop software – I can see all my photo’s back on my hard drive and also on Photoshop but I cannot retrieve my albums and keyword tags.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI don't assign or use keywords. It does it on all albums. I made new albums and it did not work, even on the new albums. There was one album that did not have the problem, but when I tried to transfer an affected album's files to it, it developed the problem. I reset the preferences in both Organizer and Editor, and that did not work. It prevents me from moving files out of as well as into albums.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded elements 11 as an upgrade from elements 8. The download went fine but now I am frozen on "Restoring People Recoginition". My old version of Elements 8 is still activated.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded the full version of Elements 11. When i open the Organiser a window pops up "Restoring people recognition data". This will not cancel before the screen freezes. I still have Elements 8 installed. If I delete E8 will this solve the problem and will my pictures still be saved?
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave installed new Elements 9 and Premiere 9. All works well, except can't get into organizer without hanging up on this message, 'Restoring People Recognition Data'. It shows 2% progress and just hangs there.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have experienced that when restoring a catalogbackup, all data connected to each picture is gone, and i have to use many hours to organize once more.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs I understand it, the EXIF that the camera captures has all of the details about when the picture was taken. Including time picture taken, camera settings & model number, if flash fired or not etc, etc. Some cameras have much more data than others & this can include GPS location & perhaps even more that I'm unaware of.
When I use PSE & add tags I have the option of having the EXIF data on each individual photo file overwritten or added to what it had originally. Is this correct?
What if any other programs read this data, Windows perhaps? And & if so how is this done? Can any other programs make use of this data? For instance if I were to export a reduced size copy of one of my picture & emailed it to someone are they likely to be able to see this data?
If I copy a bunch of pictures from PSE 10 & then load them into a tablet (galaxy tab 2 10.1) should all of the Tags still have all of the EXIF data & tag information from PSE? The reason that I ask is because I looked at a few picture copied this way & the tablet gives the choice of displaying things like where picture taken, presumably from GPS data as well as by date taken etc?
I can call up some picture with where taken but none that would have used other tags.
How do I delete albums from "local albums"?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm using Organizer 11. First time evething was ok, persons/faces were detected correctly, then after a few month Organizer doesn't detected new faces and said every time that all faces were detected already also when I imported new fotos from my camera...
(I use the german version, so I can not tell you the exact error message in english, hope you unserstand what I mean.)
As I found no solution, I created a new catalog and imported all photos including their tags newly to this empty catalog. But allready tagged persons are not persons anymore - their tags are now in the "imported keyword tags" (German: "Importierte Stichwort-Tags") and not in the "person/face tags".
How can I tell the organizer that the imported Tags are persons/faces to having no douplicates in the person-tags and normal keyword-tags?
Here some Background Information about my system:
PSE 11, Windows 8, 64 Bit 8GB, Intel i7.

I have just upgraded my Swedish PSE7 to an English PSE11. Of course the people keyword tags did not get converted into people tags because People is called Folk in Swedish. I was not aware of this mechanism prior to upgrading. How can I convert those keyword tags now?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just converted from PSE 10 to PSE 11.
Now, in the Media view, over in the Tags/Info pane, I have Events, Other, and Places Tags, but no People Tags. However, when I look at individual photos in my converted catalogs, the people's names are still attached to them; the people icon is still associated with each photo so marked.
In PSE 10, when you imported new photos, you could drag People Tags from the Tags pane to one or more selected photos to quickly tag the subjects. Now, apparently, I'll have to group any new photos with people in them by hand and retype names over and over again — although those tags are already available in the catalog.
This is clearly insane. Surely Adobe hasn't taken something easy (dragging a people tag over from the right pane to a newly added photo) and turned it into something cumbersome and inefficient?
How do I get the Media view to populate the People Tags in the Tags pane along with the Existing Events, Other, and Places Tags?
I backed up my Elements 10 catalog to an external hard drive.I then built a new computer, and installed Elements 10. I then used the Restore feature and restored my catalog to a new location.
All of the pictures came in along with my tags, etc. but all of the pictures are showing a generic icon with a question mark, meaning that they are all disconnected.
When I click on a picture and look at the location, it is still showing the old location, even though I used the Restore function and specific a new location, so Elements obviously knows where the pictures are because it put them there!!!
I have just upgraded from PSE 9 to PSE 11 and have imported some pictures that I have tagged in another program. Importing tags for everything other than people works fine (already used tags are recognized and reused). But importing tags for people proved to be a problem. They did not merge automatically with my previous people tags in PSE. My imported people tags ar now placed under "Imported Keyword Tags" in the "Media" workspace. How do I merge or move them to the "People" work space where the people tags for PSE 11 is placed?
I also wonder why people and other tags are put in different places. Is it possible to view all keyword tags in one list/place?
In Elements 11 File I accidently hit show hidden files. Now I can't access any of my files. How do I resotore them?
View 1 Replies View Relatedi have just bought a new computer with windows 8 and installed elements version 12; my old laptop had elements version 8 on it and I did a full backup of the catalog to an external hard drive. I have gone through the restore catalog process but cant see any photos either in the organiser or in my pictures. I did the convert step but it said it conversion failed and suggested repairing the backup with previous version which is not possible as the computer was a work machine which has now been wiped and rebuilt and I dont have version 8 anymore!! when it did the convert step it only seemed to find breeze files.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently had my computer reformatted and notice that following Photoshop Elements reinstall and catalog restore all my photos have been duplicated in the Adobe/digital photos folder. I have read that this is due to my computer tech restoring all photos in the original folder structure prior to me executing the catalog restore (I should have done my research first). My question is what can I do now to eliminate the duplicates? Do I delete all photos and the Adobe folders or is there an alternative?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI currently am using Elements 9 with Windows 7. I will be getting a new computer with Windows 8.1. I have 5 catalogs. All are backed up on external hard drives. I plan to install Elements 9 on the new computer and then restore the catalogs. The catalogs are in chronological order. Should I restore them in any particular order, and if so, should I do the more recent catalog or the oldest one first?
I guess I should also ask if Elements 9 will be compatible with Windows 8.1.
