Photoshop glitched during a save of an image that had been opened from Aperture 3, and now I can't open PS at all. The error message I get is:Â "Couldn't open the edit log file Photoshop Edit Log. Edit logging is disabled."Â I'm running Photoshop from Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Standard, Mac OS X 10.7.3
Â
SInce I can't get into PS, I have no way of getting into the preferences settings.
Â
how to reset or delete the corrupted edit log and create a new one?
When I open the file.psd to edit or file.jpg (Any file type) The program will appear the dialog and then When I click "OK" to close this dialog. After that, it will appear the dialog to close program. Â I could not continue to work.I must close and reopen the program. (Do not open the file.)
I am trying to open a .psd file that I saved few weeks ago but i get an error: "could not open, becuase the layer you are trying to open is not a compatible text layer". I really need to edit this image.
I need to open videos to edit for my Photoshop class, but everytime I try it says "could not complete your request because the video file could not be opened. Â I am trying to open [URL]...
I need to update my video card... How do I do that? Â Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.1 (13.0.1.2 20130522.r.24 2013/05/22:21:00:00) x64 Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit Version: 6.1 Service Pack 1 System architecture: AMD CPU Family:15, Model:1, Stepping:0 with MMX, SSE Integer, SSE FP, SSE2, SSE3
I've never had this before, but when it happens it refreshes everything every time i interact with photoshop, which makes it very annoying. I made a new canvas, and the suddenly with every brush stroke or click of a button or whatever, the "new document" window pops up with most of its controls missing for a split second, and any drop down menus i recently used quickly appear.
Then the screen all refereshes and it goes away. This happens quickly. I managed to grab a screen shot when it did it though, showing a distorted menu appear quickly. I'm guessing its my video drivers, right?
I mean, its not a huge problem because a simple restart of photoshop sorted it out, and ive never had it happen before, but io thought it best to tell just as a notice if Adobe know anything about what could be causing it. I have the newest video drivers installed which has enabled photoshop to work on dual moniotors with open gl and also had a refresh prefomance increase in certian other areas.
Trying to edit video but Photoshop cs6 wont open the VOB files. I tried to change the extension to AVI and then drag it in. It works but it's distorted.Â
I have found the perfect editable magazine template but it's an InDesign file.
Is it possible to open and edit this in Photoshop CS6. I would need to be able to drop in my own images and replace all the text without compromising the existing design, can this be done with my very basic skills?
Is there a way to specify the resolution of the image opened in Photoshop when you use the "Open As Layers" option within the "Edit In" Menu like you can do for the "edit in Photoshop" option. For example in my preferences for the "edit in CS6" option if I set 300 as the resolution it opens as such, however if I try to open multiple images with the Open As Layers option they start with a resolution of 240.
When typing numbers or punctuation on Photoshop CS6, they always glitch and go back to the beginning of the sentence and can't be made to go after the letters.
I'm trying to flatten an image with a gradient. This was originally a RAW image. My photos keep having this "C" with circles around it (as seen in Photo 2).
I've been trying to achieve a VHS glitch effect in Photoshop for some time now, but have been having trouble. I found a t-shirt design by an artist who has done this effect really well:
How I can try an achieve this effect - I've already tried data bending an image file, but the results are no where near as good as this design.
I made a simple gradient from black to white, then went to Select>ColorRange and used the sample color I had - #848484. I set the fuzziness to 0 to restrict the selection to only that color and then pressed OK. It selected three pixels. I copy and paste these into a new document to make it easier to see them. Now here's the glitchiness: I eyedrop each of the three pixels to see what their hexadecimal values are. One is 848484, another is 848484, but the last one is 848585. Why is Photoshop selecting an 848585 colored pixel when I'm telling it to only select a 848484 colored pixels? I would assume that setting fuzziness all the way down to 0 would restrict the selection to EXACTLY the color you specify, but it doesn't appear to be doing that. Is there any way around this? This is important because I'm trying to select specific colors that are not used as much and replace them with colors used more often in the image.
i have this glichi tried to disable themes(visual style)but it does not solve the problemupgrade the video and all other divers re-installed and reset the preferences does somebody see such glitch ,
I was entitled to a free upgrade to CS4 which I have installed but I now have many problems in trying to get CS4 to run properly.
1. Sometimes CS4 will open but the toolbar with FILE, EDIT is missing
2. Mostly when I open CS4 IF I click on 'FILE' everything is greyed out apart from Import, Automate and scripts and CS4 hangs.
3. If I click on FILE to try and open a file that too is greyed out until I click on 'Clear open recent'
4. If I open a image and want to get rid of any blemishes with the spot healing brush I can select the tool, click on a spot and a nice splodge is left on the image but the tool does not clear the blemish until I click on a completely different tool. eg. Text or anything.
5. Using Unsharp mask As I move the 'Radius' Nothing happens for ages.
So I have absolutely no idea why this these things are happening.
My System is Windows Vista 4GB Ram (although CS4 only thinks I have just under 2GB
CPU Intel Dual core 2.2GHZ
Graphics card is a NVIDIA Geforce 7300 GT and last week I downloaded a new driver to 7.15.11.7824
I have played with the cache and memory allocation, to no avail
I own photo elements 6 (photo premiere 4). Photo elem. 6 takes forever to open photo in the edit mode. Why? I am using window 8.  It was working ok. Now a problem. I uninstalled it reinstalled.Â
I'm traveling right now and so not in my natural environment, dont have full resources. I'm using my Mac Book Pro and doing some light editing. I can not, however, get Lr3 and PSE9 to play nice together though. If in Lr3 I request <Edit in PSE9> it only tries to launch PSE even if it is already open but will not open the imaged. If I drag the images from Lr3 to PSE it will be locked and I can not even create a duplicat layer.Â
Lightrrom 4.2 can't use the right click, "edit in" photoshop CS6. I have tried edit, preferences, and created a Preset and pointed it to the CS6 photoshop.exe... still a no-go.
I was adding in some text to a hand drawn image that I scanned in. I put in the first label and it was going smoothly, then I highlighted it and changed the font and the black lettering I put in disappeared.
It still seems to be there, and it shows up in the Layers box. It's just as though the opacity has been turned down to 0% (which it hasn't). It's not stuck behind another layer and it's not the same colour as the background. I can still copy/paste text in and out but I can't make the text visible. Even if I put a colour overlay using the Layer/Layer Styles/Blending Options, it still won't show up.
Even if I start a new image, the same thing happens when I try and put new text in. Basically, my ability to add text to an image has been totally incapacitated.
Have I leant on the keyboard and triggered a short cut I didn't know about? Is it a glitch or a screw up with the program.
Okay, I use Photoshop frequently, and am quite familiar with the Pen tool. However, this time, when I tried to fill a closed path, the colour appeared on the OUTSIDE of the path. I've never seen it do that before, and it's proving persistent and annoying. I have no idea why it's done this, and therefore don't know how to fix it.
The issue comes at random; upon starting PS CS6 (32-bit or 64-bit) it won't be able to open ANY files, of ANY file type (.psd, .jpg, .png, etc.)If by some miracle it DOES open a file, it won't be able to edit it; i.e. upon drawing a line with the brush tool, PS will delete the line when you lift off the mouse.  Things I've tried or tested include making sure the file wasn't read only, making sure it was a valid file, and deleting the preferences.I never have this problem on the school computers (all our school computers are late-model iMacs), but I've had this problem on two seperate Windows 7 64-Bit PCs.  The only way to fix it is to do a complete system reboot; even now though I've done three reboots & it still won't work anymore. My system specs for my desktop are:  Intel Core i7 960      (3.2GHz, 8MB Cache) nVidia GeForce GTX 680 12GB Triple Channel      1333MHz DDR3 Windows 7 64-Bit Basic
Everytime I open photoshop to edit a simple photo it crashes. Almost as soon as I press clone tool or any other tool it crashes. Its not my computer, or the space on my computer or my video drives. I was going to uninstall then re-install but I am scared because I have the CD but not my serial number.
I received PSE 8 in a bundle with a Bamboo tablet. I loaded it up and have been editing pictures just fine. Yesterday I downloaded and installed some actions from MCP's site and messed with a few of them. Today I downloaded and installed the MCP Facebook actions. I was able to mess around with it a bit along with some other action until after a few minutes I reveived a message from Adobe telling me that it has detected that a program closed unexpectedly and asked if I wanted to send an error report, which I have. I gave it a rest for a while but it is still crashing. I can get into the Organizer but when I attempt to go into any of the edit areas, it will load up and after a few seconds I get the message. I am using Windows 7
how do I get raw NEF files (from Nikon) to open in the edit workspace of elements 8? I have windows 7 , and when I try to open NEF raw files from the viewer, it says cannot recognize the file type.
Every time I try to open and edit a picture (specifically using a raw file in camera raw) after double clicking on it to open it, I get this message, "could not complete your request because of a program error" I have tried over and ove again and it wont work!
