Lightroom :: Change What LR Does With Files When Importing
Dec 2, 2012When the import "Preferences" changed.When I import DNGs, it COPIES them to another HDD and I cannot find out how to stop this.When I go to Preferences I do not see any way to change this. I am about ready to uninstall and reinstall.

Paint Shop Pro :: X4 - Importing Raw Files From Canon G15 CR2?
Sep 12, 2013have PSP X4. RAW files from my new G15 have colors totally scrambled so I suspect yet another rev of Canon's CR2 format. See CR2 & JPG thumbnails, attached.
Satisfied with X4 and rather not upgrade now. Have installed Canon's "Digital Photo Professional" which correctly reads the CR2s. Rather work in PSP; Canon's app can save RAW as
Exif-TIFF 8bit
TIFF 16bit
and both in combo with Exif-JPEG
will TIFF 16 bit preserve the RAW data and then I could edit in PSP? Other alternatives?
Paint Shop Pro :: Cannot Change Associated Files
Feb 16, 2013When I installed PaintShop Pro X5, I listed the associated files (all of them). Now, when I go to the associated files, I cannot change the list (one or the total list). I check the boxes, but nothing changes. so I can change these associated files.

Nov 5, 2011I downloaded Corel Paintshop Photo Pro X3 about two months ago and love it. Everything has been working great for me. I haven't installed any updates, bonuses, or add-ons, mainly because I haven't needed them.
I'm trying to import some premade brush tips. It seems Corel is having trouble recognizing the file types. I originally tried to import an .abr file which wasn't recognized. I converted the files to .png, and got the error message: "the file (C:/users/etc/etc) is a newer format version and unsupported." I used an online "how to" guide when importing these brushes. I wish I could find the guide, but I can't at the moment. I'm pretty sure the directions I followed were accurate, though.
Anyway, what file types will corel accept as brushes? Why am I having trouble importing these brushes?

Aug 6, 2013it's possible to copy and paste form Word and keep the formatting. I've tired using the text tool but the formatting is lost and I've tried direct pasting but it results in a huge size. Resizing the result leaves the print blurry.
I'm trying to add formatted text to an image size of 490 x 680.

How would I import text into a text box that I can drag the corner to wrap text to dimensions of box, and also be able to change text font and size.

3ds Max :: Importing IAS / STP Files
May 30, 2013I have a batch of igs and stp files that I have to import into max and on some of them I am getting this strange issue where its almost like the boolean operation has failed and where there should be a piece cut out I am getting an extra piece of geometry in the shape of the cutout.
The image will make more sense, as you can see I am getting these extra tubes rather than the groove that should be there.
I am using Max 2014.

Aug 17, 2011I'm trying to make a picture compostion out of several pictures. I want the canvas to be fixed from the beginning and stay fixed. The problem is that whenever I add a picture using "Layer -> Import from file" and the imported picture is larger than the canvas the canvas get resized to the size of the imported pictue. Is there a way to prevent that?

I figured out how to make the video work and figured out how to change the speed on individual frames. My problem is saving the project. I can only save it as a VSP file and it is too big to upload to Photo bucket. The whole animation is 15KB.
Can you change the save as file extension to include animated gifs?

Jan 22, 2013I am have been importing a set of igs files and one of them is not displaying in my viewport. It's the lagest file size of the bunch at 285Mb, I believe all of the files were created in Solidworks.
The process I use is: create a new blank file in Max and import the file, but when the import is completed I just get a single line displayed in the viewport(see attachment).
I have left the import running overnight and still get the same result. I also get the same result if I import in a previous version of 3DS Max 2011. I downloaded a free CAD application to see if that could open the file and it gave me a decent wire frame image of the product I was hoping for, but I could not re-save it (benefits of free software!!).
I am using 3DS Max 2013, Win 7 Pro SP1, 64-bit, 2x Intel Xeon 2.93GHz processors, 24Gb Ram with a Quadro 4000 graphics card, running Version 310.90 drivers (I have not 'manged' 3D settings though). So I am guessing this is a graphics display issue due to the size of the iges file, but any way of optimising my viewport or some free software that can convert an iges file into something more managable for Max to import?
Unfortunately I am unable to upload the iges file or an image of the wireframe model from the other free application due to the sensitivity of the content.
3DS Max 2014 x 64.
Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit, 2 x Intel Xeon 2.93GHz, NVIDIA Quadro 4000, 24GB Ram.
AutoCad :: DGN Files Not Importing?
Sep 12, 2011I am trying to import DGN (Microstation) files in AutoCAD but it does not work. Initially, I had tried with ACAD version 2012 and subsequently tried versions 2011 and 2010. Neither worked.
I think I have read most of the threads relating to this topic, but none seem to address my case, which is:
I use dgnimport command, select the file and check the following options: Import in the current drawing, Ignore duplicate names, desgin model from DGN file "Default", translate references to blocks or xrefs, DGN units to convert to Master units, mapping setup "Standard". I click OK.
What happens next is... nothing. Well, not exactly. It does import layers, text styles, blocks, etc. But there is nothing (no drawing) in the model or paper spaces. And from previews and accompanying pdf files, there should be plenty of drawing objects in the file.
The only error log I can see from the text window is that four DGN line styles could not be resolved. But I am hesitant to think such a minor issue would cause the whole drawing to be missing.

Jun 5, 2012I have a problem whem importing dxf files into cs6. All texts are aligned to the left.
I have a program that generates dxf and when importing the same file into cs2 the alignment works fine, both to the left, to the right and center.
When i'm creating a design with text in illustrator and exporting as a dxf all text rows are aligned to the left when importing the same file again? That happens in both cs2 and cs6.
I need to get this solved before I leave cs2 and buy cs6.

When I import my .ai file to AE cs6, add it to a compisition, right click selecting create shape from vector layer I get a grey box.
