Paint.NET :: Move Layer Properties Window?
Jul 28, 2012The layer properties window, it opens smack bang on the middle of the image I'm working on. So extremely annoying to always first having to move it off the image, before I can see the effect I'm using. Especially when working with multiple layers. Is there a way to have this window open on the SIDE of the image one is working on? Instead of on top of it, hiding it?

Feb 1, 2012For the first month or so using PSP X4 I thought you couldn't open Properties and adjust blend ranges on entire layer groups, but it turns out I can if I open Properties from the menu. There is no context menu entry! What is with that, Corel? Minor UI issue but would be a nice inclusion.

Aug 5, 2012I just installed PS CS6 and when I apply a layer mask to a layer I can paint black to hide the layer, but when painting white to restore the layer there is no effect. White paint will not restore the layer or modify the mask at all. The black paint works as usual to hide the layer, but how do I restore an area in a layer mask if not painting white?

Dec 5, 2011I am starting to color some old line art (cartoons) but can't get any (eraser, brush etc) tools to work on the non background layer. I could just auto fill on the background but that is too finicky, too many open shapes that end up filling the whole page in that color! I want so that I can color in indiscriminately w/o worrying about covering my lines.
How come I can't get so that when I erase, I don't get the transparency checkerboard underneath? I put the BG layer on top then the erase tool does not work! What fundamental thing did I forget?
Paint Shop Pro :: Layer Palette Opacity Slider Arrow Keys Don't Work
Jun 9, 2012I have been working in PSP since PSP 7 so I am pretty familiar with the program. In PSP X4 when I go to adjust the opacity of a raster layer using the opacity slider on the layer palette toolbar. I click on it and I can't use the arrow keys to adjust the value. My arrow keys have no effect on the opacity slider at all. how I can get it working? It has never worked for me in PSP X4.

Mar 20, 2013When I create a shape in Photoshop CS6, it brings up a nice panel of options - allowing me to change radius, stroke style, colour etc. However, once this shape has been placed in the Photoshop document, I am not able to edit it, without creating a new shape.
I cannot change any of the options. Sure, I can select it and change the size - but how would I change the shape stroke colour and style, as well as the radius of the curves?Is there an option or panel which I need to activate to get back to this menu for the current shape?
Here the shape options are visibleHowever, once I click off the shape - they dissapear and I can no longer get them back.
How would I get the shape options back for this shape, without creating a new layer and shape?As with the way it is now, I have to get things like the stroke colour and radius right the first time - and I like to experiment with my options.

Nov 12, 2011when I go to use the Layer Control on the Layer Properties it only lists the layer I'm working on. I then have to use the Layer Manager to change layers. why it would stop listing all the layers?

Mar 23, 2011im running AutoCAD 2010 as part of a Inventor Package and everything was working fine until i installed the Inventor 2011 ......(it was to try to sort something else out as the new features were introduced in 2011, but because of work policy were stuck using 2010......isn't work grand)
Ive uninstalled 2011 without anything going wrong with Inventor 2010 but its AutoCAD 2010 im having trouble with
If i create anything (could be a line or dimension) and then open the properties window or quick properties what used to be there isn't.....
- in the quick properties it says it cant define anything
- in the main properties window, instead of being able to alter the scale of the line / text & adjust lengths etc, the fields have been replaced, at the bottom of the fields are UCS co-ordinates initially i thought it was because installing 2011 has corrupted the files or done something weird and wonderful to them so ive tried:
-Repairing
-Reinstalling - Without Uninstalling the original AutoCAD 2010
-Reinstalling - With Unistalling the original AutoCAD 2010
Im running a XP 64bit machine with the latest service pack

GIMP :: Layer Modes Don't Work In Layer Groups?
Jan 20, 2014For the projects I'm working on, I use the same template beneath the different layer groups of each different project. When I move a "color" layer into the group, however, it doesn't show up like it's supposed to. It behaves as if the 'color' layer is a blank layer, and has no effect. Is there any way to get this to work or?...
ALSO: I can't open images by URL.

1) My line type no longer works (via layers or directly)
2) My text section within line properties no longer shows up in order to access 'text overide'
3) I can no longer change the line color.

Feb 14, 2013Run into an issue in AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 when multiple raster images (in this case 66 ortho images) are attached as data connections, you cannot see New Layers when you create them in the default Layer Properties Manager?
I have found using the Classic Layer Properties Manager is a work around.
It doesn’t seem to matter if the ortho images are connected individually or grouped as a single layer.
I'm running Map 3D with SP2 applied.

May 27, 2011i'm using my corelphoto paint x3 for a year now and it is working fyn then on one occassion i don't know but while editing an image, i suddenly discovered that my effect tools, paint tools, clone tools wont work or wont make changes on the image i'm editing... i've already checked the menus and settings but still no work..i also tried reinstalling the program but still it's all the same..

Feb 3, 2012i have recently upgraded from 08' LT to 12'LT and i have an intermittent issue with the Layer properties box.sometimes when i open the layers list and want to change layer name, color, linetype etc it will discard all changes when i close the box and the command line will show something like this

the Layer box opens and works as normal but makes no changes to the drawing.if i reopen the layer prop box it will then work, it seems to be completely at random whether it works or not.

Feb 26, 2013When I create a new layer and in the same process change the color and linetype it looks like it takes in the layer dialogs box but when you use the layer the properties do not take. I have to re-initiate the layer command and then the layer properties are not what I set them to. Once I re set them at this stage it holds the layer. I've attached 3 images.
1. Showing two lines and layer dialogs box on two new layers (objects look the same)

Jan 9, 2014We have changed the color, line weight and description of specific layers. We used to use Layer state to update the layers, now we use the design center.
Changes made in Example 1. Example 2 has the wrong layers - so Design center is open, layers from Example 1 are dragged and dropped into Example 2.

I'm trying to line-up two images and the bottom layer is the reference image so I move the top layer in the x,y direction and rotate the layer until it looks good. But instead of saving I want the new x,y location along with the rotation number to enter into an Imagemagik bash script.
I'm using GIMP 2.6.11, but will update to 2.8 if necessary.
