Lightroom :: 3.6 - How To Print To File In Print Module
Nov 1, 2012
I get a pop up of "Save Files To Folder", but no file names are present, so "save" does nothing. I have all the boxes checked in Print Job, e.g. print to Jpeg file. I have searched, re-read Kelby etc. and come up blank. I have a profile entered for a custom lab.
I wanted to create an A4 borderless print in my canon mg6150 from within the print module. I can do a borderless print using the canon easyprint.
I go into page setup and the properties of my printer and set the page layout to borderless and click OK.
However, I am unable to set the margins to zero. When I go back into my page setup and check the page layout, it has reverted to normal so it has ignored my setting.
I cannot seem to reset the print template screen while in the " Print " module. It has adopted the smallest pic size with three times the normal border. I wish to reset to full screen in print module
How to ADD (almost) white Border around photo(s) to print in print module (not for creating a JPEG) WITHOUT TRIMMING the photo?
I dont understand why I'm so stupid not to be able to acheeve this simple task with Lightroom WITHOUT TRIMMING the image (altering it's proportion and cutting away photo-content)
(on light-gray backgrownd for instance, to use as cutting indications. I know how to use cutting-indications for images i print without a border)
(i do not whant to use workarounds, the kind of preparing "identity plates", a new one each for infinite variations of proportions to use as fullblown-up backgrounds..)
I am trying to print a 16" x 20" photo through Lightroom's print module. I am using an Epson 3880 printer and 17" x 22" paper. I have done this in Lightroom 4 with no problems. Now I am getting a print that is 16-3/8" x 20-1/2". I have the cell size set at 16" x 20" and borderless printing is turned off. I also checked zoomed to fill. This has also happened on a couple of 12" x 18" photos.
A few weeks ago I tried to print from the print module and instead of a picture showing up, there was a white space. I have uninstalled and reinstalled LR 3 times.
When I try to print a JPG from the Print module in LR 3.6 (and tried it also with 3.5), it does not always recognize the resolution settings. Most of the time (and I can't see what makes the difference) it prints the JPG to a 96 ppi resolution regardless of what setting I use for resolution.
I use CS6 on a Mac pro os 10.8.3 & print to an Epson Pro 4900. If I print an image via LR4 print module the print comes out at 12 X18 in. Recently I have tried that same image via CS6 and the print comes out at 6 5/8 X 8 1/2 in.
In Print Settings in Printer Setup in the print module of CS6 stats "Super A3 / B 13 X 19 but the printed image dimensions are a little over half of that. The printer used to print normally in CS6 print file.
I want to print a photo in 5x7in.I have a Epson Stylus Photo PX710W printer. I select it from Page Setup button. Then i select the paper size as 5x7in (13x18cm)
But i couldnt set the margins in same size.Left, right and top can be set as 2,8mm. minimum but bottom can set to 3,2mm.Zoom to fill and rotate to fitt both are selected.
Cell size is: 121,0mm. maximum size. Cell widht is: 172,1mm. maximum size.
I uninstalled my Printer's drivers and software and reinstalled it, but nothing has changed. Then i reinstalled Lightroom but no changes.I use the latest Lightroom 5.3
I am trying to add new Epson ICC profiles to my lightroom4 print module. I downloaded them from Epson but I do not see them in my ICC list that exhists in the print module uner Other for color managment
When I set a margin with the Print module (Lr v3), does it also include the "page bleed" dimension the printer requires for properly printing the bottom of the page?
The problem I'm having is with printing landscape prints and the left & right margins not being equal. I cannot find anything about the page bleed dimensions for my HP B9180 printer and maybe it varies a bit (1mm?) from one B9180 to another(?) In any case, is there a systematic approach for determining the page bleed for a printer? I imagine the only way to accommodate for the asymetry is to account for it in top/bottom margins, correct(?)

I last printed about a week ago. Trying to print now results in an immediate crash. Tried multiple photos from different cameras and different catalogs. Different printers including printing to pdf all crash immediately. Repaired disk permissions. Reinstalled the app. Reinstalled Mountain Lion, uninstalled (to trash, empty trash, shut down and reinstall, no dice).
Can print from MS Word no problem. Photoshop Elements 9 prints photos just fine.
Crashes in a variety of low to mid thirties thread (lowest I have seen is 28, highest is 35) but I have not checked every crash report for the thread number.
Is it possible to zoom in on the page you are creating in LR4? I intend to make a poster apx. 50x80 cm with a lot of small photos on it. Without a zoom it will be difficult to position each little photo correctly
Whenever I try to enter the print module Windows tells me Lightroom has encountered a problem and needs to close. The print module worked fine some weeks ago, but now it doesn't. Everything else seems to work fine.
First thing I tried was to relaunch and optimize my catalog which didn't work.
I then tried to reinstall LR 2.4 with no luck. I then Downloaded and installed 2.6, still no luck.
I had cleaned the registry after the print module worked last time, so I reloaded the registry with those values, still no luck.
I then deleted Lightroom 2 Preferences.agprefs and let LR relaunch to create a new one. Now the print module works.
As I am not using the default catalog I went into preferences and pointed LR to my catalogue and then relaunched again thinking the problem was solved. But when I tried to go into the Print module LR crashed again.
I figured that since the Print module worked with the empty default catalog the error must lie somewhere in my catalog. I therefore went back and tried using one of my backup catalogs, but LR crashed again when I tried to access the Print module. I even went back and tried all my backup catalogs and a couple of the oldest ones does not cause LR to crash when going into the Print module.
I'm on Vista with 4 gb of RAM, using dual monitors, and I've tried reducing the resolution and using only one screen as well.
So, my question is what could possibly go wrong inside a catalog file that would cause LR to crash in one module only? And why is it that the backups saved even the month before I last used the print module also causes the problem? Seeing as how I've been using that very same catalog and having a working print module?
Out of nowhere, the 'Save As' function isn't available in the Print Module. I have updated to 4.4, restarted Lightroom, etc. I can still export the images, just not save as a jpg.
I am trying to print a landscape oriented image. I choose an 11 x 17 paper size (entered as a custom size) to accommodate the print.
In Page Setup I choose landscape mode. On screen the paper is landscape but the image is vertical. When I choose vertical mode, the paper is vertical but the image is horizontal.
I try to switch width and height in Manage Custom Sizes but it only makes the opposite happen from the above scenario.
When I print, the paper is vertical with half the image printed horizontal.
When going from any module into the Print Module, Lightroom crashes. Another thread suggested using a new catalog without any templates. I did and the application did not crash. Unfortunately, Lightroom is now booting into the print module with the catalog that is causing it to crash. From previous threads it sounds as if the issue was print templates. How do I delete the error causing templates?
I am trying to produce postcards from one single image with Lr template 2-Up Greeting card, but can apply identity plate only once. How can I use identity plate twice on one A4 sheet with 2 images, so each image is with the same text?
I am using Lightroom 4.3 64 bit. My PRINT module is responding slowly or not at all. I had been using Lightroom 4 upgraded from Lightroom 3 with no issues for some time. I did upgrade to Windows 8 and noticed no issues with Lightroom. Recently however, my PRINT module started responding slowly to print settings and commands...with "Lightroom - PRINT is not responding". This issue started gradually and has increased over time. Making it almost impossible to print now.
I have been using Lightroom 5 for a while now and am currently printing some photos. In Lightroom 4 there used to be an info overlay that stated the current printer and paper size that was selected for that printer. I can't seem to find or display that information now in Lightroom 5. I have tried using the "I" key but to no avail.
if the print module sends srgb data to the printer by default?
The reason is I use a rip (it controls the printing) and the input needs to be matched so srgb > srgb this is the setting I have at the moment, but then someone meantion it was prophoto rgb which has me thinking?
