At the moment we have to select each text box and press 'make text dynamic', which can get tiresome with a lot of text boxes. AutoCad 3D :: Make Outlined Text From Illustrator Extrude Properly
Jul 16, 2012I am currently trying to make a bracelet with text engraved in the outside of it with autocad, and my current problem is that I have to make the text 3D before I can subtract it from the bracelet. I am using autocad for mac, which means I dont have the express tools, most notably textexp. I am fairly sure that, without other programs, making 3d text with autocad for mac is impossible. I have tried making text in adobe illustrator, outlining it, and exporting it to autocad, but when I explode it (with the default explode command) and extrude the text, it looks like this:
As you can see, very few of the letters get properly extruded, and some arent even effected at all. I've tested other fonts, and they all have the same problem, albeit with some differences in exactly which letters are changed. Except papyrus, in which none of the text gets extrudedhow to make outlined text from illustrator extrude properly, be my guest! The same goes if you have a different way to make 3D text.

Jan 6, 2014Im making a logo for a client and am having a nightmare of a time trying to properly use the clipping masks in illustrator CS5. I copied and pasted the logo I made behind itself with a different color just for a drop shadow-like effect. And now I'm trying to apply this diagonal line pattern I created over top the "shadow" I made to give it some texture.
Here's an example of what I'm going for, only imagine the line pattern on the text instead of banner.

Dec 5, 2011I am wanting to display previews (pngs) of the ai files in the plugin that match search criteria on a button. As the user scrolls through the results, change the button picture to be the png for that ai file. I tested it with a default image in case the image doesn't exist. The test image is cropped to the size of the button.
The pngs are necessarily 600x600 pix. (For other applications). I want to resize them for display on the button.
(The button is only 100x100).
Do I need to use Image/Drawer suites?
Illustrator :: Multiple Layer Export Scripts Make Text Blurry
Aug 22, 2013I am using a script to export multiple layers of 16x16 pixel icon files into separate PNG files. It works very well with one big exception. All layers that contain text becomes very blurry.I have tried converting the text into outline paths before exporting, but it does not work. The text becomes blurry and thick.
When performing a regular Non Script export to a PNG file you are allowed to chose antialiasing method between "type" and "art". When using the "type" alternative everything looks good, but when the "art" alternative is selected the text look very blurry and bad.When using script multiexporters it seems they all use the art version. URL....
But I have tried a bunch of other scripts as well but with the same blurry result for the text. How to get the option to chose the type optimized initializing for the script exports?

I have to replace "Customer Satisfaction" with some other text. The text is embedded in the image; so, it's not that easy, at least for me, to replace it without making it look amateurish. Of course, I duplicated the background and worked on that layer.
First method I tried was using the clone stamp, zooming in to 1600% to painstakingly erase it. But then when I zoom out, the background where the text was placed over does not match its surroundings and looks like someone shaded it. If you zoom in real close, before making any changes to it, you'll see that the "green" (what the RGB is) touching the text is different than the "green" in areas not touching text.
Next, I thought of using the magic wand to select the text for me and that looked liked it worked. But the problem is once I select it, how to delete it or blend it in with the background. That is, if I select the "C" in "Customer Satisfaction" with the magic wand, for instance, pressing delete does nothing. Then I found I can fill the area, after I select it with the magic wand; however, what the RGB combination is of the background. Is there a way I can find out what the RGB value is of the background, then apply that to my fill color and effectively delete the "Customer Satisfaction" text?
Once I'm able to get rid of the text, I can use the text editor plugin tool I downloaded to replace the text.
That's my logic, anyway. How I can replace text in an image, preferably as neatly as possible.

Oct 22, 2012Using the horizontal text tool I can make a text box, but no text-blinker shows up in the box and when I type no text will appear. Although, in the Layers pannel on the right side it does name the layer whatever I have typed so why won't it show on the picture? Even if you make all other layers invisible the text layer still does not show up on a blank background.

filter makes pic a bit sharper, yellowish a bit with keeping the textures of the pic..i tried to play with levels and brightness but couldn't really get it..if you have iphone with iOS7 you might wanna take pic and try the effect to see how it changes the pic.
