Illustrator :: How To Resize Images

Feb 10, 2013

Anything I copy and paste, or that I draw directly on illustrator won't let me re-size it. This is quite a recent problem, so don't know if I have clicked something that wont let me re-size anything?

Illustrator :: How To Convert Images To Vector Graphics And Resize Without Losing Quality

Nov 27, 2013

Ok i just installed Adobe Illustrator and want to convert some images i created in Photoshop to vector graphics so i can resize the image without it getting blurry.   So i saved the image as a png file and opened in Illustrator.  I chose high fidelity photo from the image trace menu and now the traced image is blurry.  Here is what is happening.

The image is 300dpi png file format, i tried eps file format and same result. Resizing in Photoshop causes the images to get blurry, so i installed Illustrator to convert the images to vector graphics and resize without losing quality but this problem has now surfaced.  How do i solve this?

Paint.NET :: Resize Images And Print Size Fields On Resize Dialogue

Mar 24, 2013

I have just been trying to resize some images on the latest version -  3.510.4297.28964 - and I have typed the measurements that I wanted into the print size fields on the resize dialogue. The actual sizes the program resizes the images to differ though - some look to be about right, whereas some come out much larger, but they all show the dimensions that I inserted in the canvas size box.
I'm sure I've done this before and this hasn't happened?

Photoshop :: Can't Resize Images In CS5

Photoshop :: Resize Images

May 10, 2006

I've a load of images for an image gallery I'm making in Flash. So they centre correctly I want to make each image, say, 400px x 400px, and if they're landscape images they'll have white space at the top and bottom, and sides if they're portrait. I know about 'fit to image' in the batch menu but that removes the unused background.

Photoshop :: When To Resize Images For The Web

Jan 7, 2008

I have my own personal scheme for how to do images for the web, which includes an initial cropping and scaling down to 700 pixel width or 600 pixel height, followed by different image manipulations. I just recently got Scott Kelby's book on his 7-point system and it seems that these examples are all for print use and he doesn't seem to scale his images down (haven't read the whole book yet, so perhaps he discuss this later on). But my question is, when is the best time to do the scaling down if one follows Scott's scheme and just want to use the images for posting on the net, is it early on after doing the initial raw adjustments or is at the very end before doing the last sharpening.

Lightroom :: Resize Images For Given DPI?

Jul 7, 2012

I was hoping to avoid having to use an external editor such as PhotoShop but I want to be able to resize images while maintaining sufficient dpi (300). I know I can resize images in LR's export but not with the control that I would have in PS which will show me the best size (in inches) for a given dpi. By the way, after some research it looks like I'll be using AdoramaPix to publish the book.

Photoshop :: How To Resize Large Images In CS6

Sep 1, 2013

I'm using Photoshop CS6 to assemble and export a series of extremely high-res tiles. Long story short, they will be used to make up a large map in a mobile app.

I have a pretty tight deadline and I've just been stopped in my tracks by an error I get when I try to scale them up.

Each tile is a layered PSB file, 16384 x 16384px at 72dpi, about 2-3GB in size. All I want to do is scale them up to double their size - 32768 x 32768px.

When I try to do this, I receive the error, 'Could not complete the Image Size command because the result would be too big'.

What exactly does this mean in terms of size (filesize or pixel dims)? What's the problem?

Since I'm working in PSB format and I'm resizing within the bounds of the 300,000px limit, I don't understand why I'm not permitted to scale up to 32768px.

I need to preserve the layers as Smart Objects in order to upscale them... so no flattening.

All I can think of is splitting the files into smaller tiles (I currently have 28 tiles to upscale).

Photoshop :: Resize / Shrink Images In CS6?

Sep 27, 2013

I created a logo in Photoshop CS6 (4500 x 4500 pixels) and need to now shrink it so that it may be posted on a web page. I need to shrink the image to: 50 x 50, 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 pixels. I have tried to resize the image, but have not had much success as the images always come out highly pixelized with white space around it.

Photoshop :: Why Can't CS4 Resize Images Correctly

Nov 24, 2012

my copy of Photoshop can't do it right. Specifically, I'm using CS4, but I have a feeling that doesn't matter.

Step 1 - Create a new file that is 4 pixels wide by 4 pixels tall. (Use basic options: 72 pixels/inch, RGB Color, Square Pixels, etc.)

Step 2 - Using the pencil tool, draw a red dot (1 pixel wide/tall) in each corner. So that the image looks like this:

Step 3 - In the menu, go to "Image" > "Image Size..." and increase the width and height of the image to 400 pixels using "Nearest Neighbor".

Now here's the image I end up with:

So we started with a 4x4 image, and now we have a 400x400 image. The math here isn't too difficult: 4 x 100 = 400. So each of our red dots in the corners should now be 100x100 pixels each. Simple enough, right?

Unfortunately, this was not the case for me. The red dot in the upper-left corner is now 97x97 pixels. The red dot in the upper-right corner is now 103x97 pixels. The red dot in the lower-left corner is now 97x103 pixels. And the red dot in the lower-right corner is now 103x103 pixels.

I guess Photoshop seems to think that both of the following statements are simultaneously true:

1 x 100 = 97
1 x 100 = 103

Photoshop :: Resize Images - Elements 4

Is it possible to automatically resize "multiple" photos in Photoshop Elements 4 to 720 x 480 pixels, so that when the resized images are transferred to Premier Elements 2 and then burned onto a DVD the whole image(s) are seen on a TV screen?

Quite often I have found that I must manually resize the images so they fit into the safe margins but this can be a tedious process if there are a lot of photos.

Photoshop :: Resize Two Images To Be Symmetrical

May 7, 2008

I have two images that are of different sizes to begin with. One is 1330x2000 and the other 400x472.

way to resize these pictures to become the same pixel size so that they are symetrical. I know how to resize the pictures but when I do, both pictures never become the same pixel size because they are different in size to begin with. I have found that I need to crop first and sort of play with the cropping and the resizing of the picture. This takes forever though!

I can tell it to make both pictures the same pixel size (without stretching the picture). Or can I set the crop size of an exact size then crop the main areas of each image. Wouldn't this then give me the same pixel size?

Paint.NET :: Batch Resize Images

Oct 22, 2011

If you can re-size batch images in paint.net, I'd like to know how you usually go about doing that. Just today I downloaded from a blog a some odd 40 game screenshots, in what looked like a standard widescreen resolution. After checking the dimensions on the pictures, I found that they were all 1920x1079...... Being off by 1 pixel is bad, enough to make me go crazy, so I opted to edit them into the 1920x1080 resolution. I found a plugin that would add in a batch re-sizer and it worked. But upon closer inspection, it blurred my original image just slightly. Thats even worse than being off by 1 pixel.

So, I came across this layer saver executable.. I opened all the images in one canvas as layers, re-sized the canvas by 1 pixel, saved the lot as a PDN, then extracted all the layers as a brand new perfect image except for 1 column of pixels. Other than re-naming everything in ordered numbers, it works perfectly. But still, I have to know, is there anything just as good that can be within paint.net?

Photoshop :: Resize Multiple Images If Large Enough Using Actions?

Jun 19, 2013

I work at an architectural company and I need to resize a lot of images in our database. We’re talking about roughly 40.000 images, but that is not the hurdle.Previously I have made an action that resizes my images in two steps, because I need them in two different qualities When I open the image and runs the action, it does something like this:

Convert mode: Convert to RGBSave: As JPEG, quality 10, and in a certain folderImage size: width 800px, constrain proportionsSave: As JPEG, quality 8, and in another folderClose Now I want to make a change to that action, by resizing the image two times instead of one.I want it to look something like this:

Convert mode: Convert to RGBImage size: width 4000px, constrain proportions (BUT ONLY IF THE IMAGE SIZE IS LARGE ENOUGH, OTHERWISE LEAVE IT AS IT IS)Save: As JPEG, quality 10, and in a certain folderImage size: width 800px, constrain proportionsSave: As JPEG, quality 8, and in another folderClose

How can I do this? Do I need to add a variable or?
