CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 :: Identifying Fonts Used In Traffic Signs

I need to identify these Fonts, used in traffic signs – as well as the Font used in the quotes measurements below. "What The Font" could not find out them.
We do all of our braille signs using a rotary-engraving machine -- get awesome results, but very noisy. Have any of the laser engravers out there had any success doing this process with their lasers?
I am currently in the process of doing some traffic management drawings and need some road signs, but mainly im after some free cone software apparently. You can get some really good software, free if possible if not then the cheapest available. This is for autocad 2008.
When I installed X5 on my XP Pro computer, I up graded from Windows SP2 to SP3. Than I installed Corel Draw X5. Ever since I did that I can't see my text on the screen unless I use the pointer. Also, I can't see the fonts in the font list. Add to that, it even made my X4 do the same thing. However, I can use X3 with no problems with the fonts. I have un-installed and re-installed it more then once.
font issues with X6.2, ever since the last update certain fonts basically don't appear on the documents once they are open, even although they are there in the preview. I've reinstalled the fonts in question, but still nothing. They work in other applications.
On the image below you will see the small squares, this is the size f the object, the dots in a line are the. actual words of text. The font(s) in this job is Omnes regular and medium, which are Open Type fonts.
In CorelDraw x6 the drop down list of fonts in now out of alphabetical order. The order seems completely random and I can not tell what order it has decided to use. Is there a solution to this error?
I am currently working with gnuplot and some graphical output I want to postprocess in corel. I get a correct .eps file however when I want to import those files I get some font problem. For example: my degree symbol ° gets somewhat confused with another letter é. Same goes for some symbols like the greek theta. In gnuplot I use that /Symbol t for theta and its also correct in the output. However if it goes to corel it gets confused with these symbols and imports the curves wrong.
I'm new with Corel and I'm creating a banner and logo for a nonprofit organization as a volunteer. I have two or three questions. How do I divide a vector horizontally and vertically? How do I use a downloaded font in Corel? I can't import it in. Is there another way?
In Corel Draw x6 recently I am facing a problem. After writing few sentence when I wan to change the font style... and click on the font then the system hangs for a minute or responding very slowly. If I scroll the mouse to go downwards or upwards fonts... even then the system works very slowly. Why its happening? Any problem due to the number of fonts loaded? About 600 fonts loaded in my machine.
I'm interested in creating some variations in font sets or new font sets altogether. My fading recollection is that some of the earlier versions of DRAW may have had that option as a utility. I know that we had it here at some point, although it could possibly have been in the PageMaker package..
I have missed them, but last night after installing the X6 from the download site, I can not find the new 1000 fonts, templates, or the 10,000 new images.
In my windows fonts folder all the fonts have shortcuts and very few have not. what is the problem with and how i should have the fonts without shortcuts and i usually install fonts using bistream font navigator.
Sometimes though fonts are existed , when i open files in coreldraw font matching systems dialog comes in and says that font is not installed choose the appropriate one .
Sometimes in coreldraw the fonts moves side ways and i am unable to place my cursor wherever i want exactly.
I'm working on coreldraw x3 and when I try and use one of my installed fonts such as LHF Lincoln it's in the drop down menu but once I try and change text to the LHF lincoln font the sample text goes blank. When I find the LHF font in the drop down menu it doesn't show an example of the font style like the rest of the fonts I have installed. I tried to reinstall but no luck. Any font I have installed that doesn't show a preview of the font, I can't use. Most of them are OTF fonts but I have other OTF fonts that work fine. Why a font in my font list shows up but goes blank when I try and apply the font style to some text?
When I try to enter text and select the drop down menu for font selection, my list of font styles does not show up until you put your cursor over a spefic font. Otherwise the list is blank. I tried to install the repair feature from the disk but that didnt change it.
BFN does not install again some fonts (font family) in windowsfonts folder. Please take a look attached screen capture. There is only Open command or windows context menu when click right mouse button.
I'm using white text on a colored background and Helvetica 65 (T1 font) is coming out very pixelated. I haven't messed around with the color profile or changed any of the settings, so it shouldn't be doing this. This is not good. I have Vista on my laptop and Windows 7 on my desktop at home, it has not done this on my desktop, so maybe it's a Vista issue. Nothing surprises me when it comes to Vista anymore.
I have Corel X-5 on one of my computers that uses XP- Pro and I have new computer that is using windows 7 which also has Corel X-5 on it.
I have certain fonts loaded on the Corel X-5 that is using XP and I want to move them to the new computer. There are about 200 fonts and I was wondering the best way to move them into Corel X5 that is using Windows 7
Can I just copy them to a flash drive and then install on the new computer.
The reason I am using two computers with one monitor is one of my Roland Printers will work with windows 7 but the rip software will not work with Windows 7 because there are no Windows 7 drivers for it.
Instead of spending a few thousand dollars for new rip software it is easier to just use Windows XP and even thought it is a bit of a pain to keep switching back and forth from computers for now it works just fine.
Font Navigator was just finally working properly after giving me hell for the last few months, but now the Hotfix has broken it again. For as long as I can remember it has had a limit of about 64000 fonts in the library. All fonts are listed but once you got to the 64001st font in the list, it showed the preview for the first font in the list. Annoying, but i had about 66000 fonts in total available so it only affected a few fonts beginning with Y and Z.
Since the hotfix, it appears this 'limit' has been halved to around 32000 fonts. Which means I can't install any fonts beginning J - Z using Font Navigator any more, making it near useless. I've attached screenshots to show this.
I have installed Corel Draw X5 on a machine running XP Home (SP3) that more than matches the minimum specs required.
Have been a user of Corel Draw since version 7,8, 9 and 12.
When I type text using any True Type Arabic fonts in Corel Draw X5 the text just appears as blank squares. If I apply an outline to the text then it appears fine but if I then try to edit the text it goes back to appearing as blank squares. (Square are not filled, just outlines). This happens when typing text as artistic text or paragraph text.
It is the same in the drop down list for selecting a font when previewing a font it just appears as blank squares.
I do not have this problem with Corel Draw 7,8 or 9. All my Arabic fonts appear fine in these earlier versions of Corel Draw and in other software. This problem first arose with Corel Draw 12 but I learn to live with it but am very disappointed it is still happening in X5.
On another note X5 appears to be not fit for purpose due to the number of problems I am and other users are having with it.
I am running CorelDrawx6 on Win7, 8G Memory, 2TB Storage, Core I5 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GT 440
Graphics card with 1G onboard memory. I have the latest updates to CorelDrawx6 installed (x6.1 and x6.2).
I am now having trouble with fonts in all of my cdr files. Many of the fonts will default to size .001 and cannot make them stay at any other size. When I scale them manually, I can see them flash on the screen at the proper size, but when I "let go" of them they reduce back down to the invisible size.
I need to reduce the number of fonts installed (the amount is close to 400 different types and I know this is not recommended). However, how can I correctly identify the fonts belonging to Windows OS, using the FontNavigator (X6), in the sense that I can remove those that do not interest me anymore, but keeping fonts that belong to the Windows OS?
Wanting add a font to X3 using Vista I've downloaded, extracted but does not see it in X3 so how do I get into X3.Looked in archives for same but no find, stuff like adding in bullets is all, finding using Ctrl+F11.
I have graphics suite x5. what im trying to do use fonts (curly fonts) to make signs to cut out with my cnc laser. My question is now for i smooth off all the rough edges so when i cut them out there smooth and free flowing .
If there are better fonts to use then others or is there any easy way to smooth /soften the curves ?
This just happened, I shut down and rebooted my computer as it has been a while since i turned it off. When I restarted and launched Corel I found that some of my fonts were missing. In particular Arial, which is my default font, was no longer in the list and was replaced by some other random font. I opened Font Navigator and saw that arial was not in the list of installed fonts, so I had to reinstall it. I checked my windows font list and Arial was installed. This has happened before but I didn't too much attention to it. why corel would just randomly drop fonts?
How can I make CorelDraw X5 not display fonts marked "hide" in the FONTS folder of Win 7? Scrolling through hundreds of fonts to find the one you want is a real nightmare.
I'm having trouble making fonts using X4. I've found the export "ttf" filter, and the dialog opens for my first letter, which allows me to assign the ASCII position, and that works out fine. A TTF file is created, with that letter shown. However, when I try to export the next object for the next letter, instead of simply opening the assigning dialog for the next object, so as to add to the file, it goes to the dialog asking me to name the file, and when I do, Corel crashes.
