Jun 16, 2013How I can take my jpeg, and make it into a thumbnail picture that looks like its on a boxed framed canvas, at the moment when advertising my work, I simply put up a jpeg of my work before it goes to print and gets put on a wooden boxed canvas.
Other people somehow have their pictures on websites like they have already been framed. How to get this look, Im aiming at getting my pictures to look like they have a side on it so it looks like its on a boxed canvas. like the ones on e bay.

Dec 6, 2013I'm working on a fire damaged 4 floor condo project.I have an xref zip folder sent to me from the original architectural firm. It's been unzipped. Now I have multiple drawings. Each with it's own xref. I want to be able to have a fully editable drawing (in this case of a 3 story condo). I want to be able to add or delete, at will, any part of the drawing without any concerns of messing up an xref file.
How can I do this?

Sep 18, 2012I'm trying to File > Save As an Adobe Photoshop CS6 PDF and then be able to open it and edit the text in Adobe Acrobat X. Whenever I attempt to edit the text it is a raster image and it doesnt matter what I do in the photoshop pdf settings.
I want to be able to do this so that the text is able to be searched by google / search engines when I make the PDF available online.

Dec 1, 2013Is there a way to make an editable mesh or poly somewhat transparent when a material is applied? Think of the material being a thin cloth such as nylon. You can't see directly through it, but it isn't like a thick material such as jeans etc. I also want to make this object deform like a balloon inflating, so I don't know if that will cause issues with transparency.

Feb 13, 2013A simple editable mesh object, a piece of terrain, which has standard texture on it an no modifiers, just some UV's on channel 1.
Whenever I add "edit poly" modifier or convert it to editable poly, additional geometry will be created. Statistics show that only vertex count of the selected object goes up about 6x but no additional faces are generated. This not the case when check on a sub-object level, there are lot of additional faces created. I've never seen this happen, jumping between edit poly and edit mesh has been easy without any errors like this.
I've tried the same model with 2013 as well - same results. Also tried collapsing the object, removing uv-mapping, different materials, attaching the mesh to empty box, etc, garbage collection, exporting it to obj and importing - even then same thing happens.

Mar 17, 2012I'm getting some erratic results with PSPX4. I download my CR2 canon files to lightroom, process, export as Tiif or jpeg, then open in PSPX4. I then edit the pic resize to 800x600 jpeg, quality 3. The file is usually about 300-400 kb, a jpeg. I have a couple of files that are corrupted on resizing and are only 12.0 kb in size. I can't upload to my website, - the error message says they are corrupted. I'm not getting it with every file, but two in the last batch of ten files processed had this effect.
I tried restarting the program, same effect on those two files. I tried reprocessing in lightroom again , exporting as jpeg and tiff, same result. I can save the files out of PSPX4 as png format, no problem, no corruption.My workflow is the same across a large number of files, - hundreds of em, normally no problem. Just can't figure out what would cause this erratic problem.
I can open and save the problem files in gimp, which makes me think the problem is specific to PSPX4, but why does it not affect every file, only 20%??? Tried re installing PSPX4, no difference.Below is one of the problem jpegs file straight from Lightroom, before I load it into PSPX4.

the image itself is a high resolution because it needs to be, so not surprisingly it keeps making illustrator crash. the print needs to happen, and it needs to become a swatch so I can apply it to tee shirts, hats etc. so far this has been completely impossible.
