I am using entmake to create a line but I want the transparency to be a percentage. I know that the (440 . xxxxxx) dotted pair controls transparency. I don't understand the number that has to be used with 440. What numbers to put in for different transparencies?
View 9 RepliesI am trying to add dotted pairs to a list of dotted pairs one at a time in a loop, but I cannot get through one iteration.
The pseudo code is basically

The program gets the layer name from a text file and makes a dotted pair out it. When it iterates for the first time it puts the dotted pair into 0list. When it iterates the second time I want it to take the next line make a dotted pair and append 0list.
I keep getting error:bad list and I am assuming it is because it is trying to append 0list which only has one dotted pair in it and is technically not a list. I am not sure.
I have like three different versions of the same code I have tried. Any way to read a layer name from a file make a dotted pair and add the dotted pairs to a list of dotted pairs one at a time that would be amazing.
I get the reading and making a dotted pair part. I just can't get the dotted pairs to add to a master list.
So what I'm trying to do is make a selection set that will only select a specific dimension, as I don't know the exact placement as it varies depending on the size of the part. I know what the value will be, but again the value depends on the size of the part, but one of the items earlier in my program is I get the Hole Spacing, which the dimension I need to select is Half of the Hole Spacing. Here is what I'm trying:

where HALFBOLTSPC is a variable that takes the Bolt Spacing and divides it by 2.
When I do a run selection in Visual LISP, I get the following:

As my test case is using 20" Hole Spacing which means half the hole spacing is 10.00". So is there another way to do this? OR what do I need to do to get it to recognize the Variable and give the value instead of the Variable name?

I have a list of dotted pairs and some of the entries are paired with a deeper list others contain mostly string data. the issue is that I need to print the data to the command line with a newline to seperate them. So I want the output to look like:

I can print the entire list easily with:

But, the issue is that when the data is a list it print it out to a single line making it very difficult to read. I tried adding another FOREACH into the loop that I had hoped would iterate through the deeper list and print those lines out in a simular fashion but I only get an "error: bad argument type: consp " and it displays the first element of my list.
I tried to evaluate the IDX and check the type, so that if it is a list then it triggers the deeper FOREACH but it seems I did it wrongly.
I'm customizing a ribbon using png icons, but the background color appears in black.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've made a failed attempt to add the RIBBONCONTROL Named Views to the main Quick Access Toolbar. The Customize User Interface dialogue box (CUI) seems to allow me to drag the Named Views RIBBONCONTROL from the command list to Quick Access Toolbar 1. I don't see the "forbidden" icon and the blue insert bar shows up when I perform the drag operation.
However, I suspect there is some compatibility issue, because the command doesn't pop up when I release the mouse button at the end of the drag operation. Using command QUICKCUI and trying to drag Named Views RIBBONCONTROL directly to the Quick Access Toolbar (on screen) seems to be allowed likewise, but doesn't work also.
Using the regular View Manager Dialogue is not the kind of solution I'm looking for, because in the View Manager it takes at least twice as much mouse clicks to change to another view.
Any way to reach the desired customization? Should it be reported as a bug to Autodesk?
Where else do they keep this setting? I only have found it in Active Layout in extended dada

The command -PLOT does not have this setting as well, so my options back to VBA or Lisp, but HOW?
Is there a lisp that will allow me to do a continuous dimension, but will alternate the dimension position from low, high, low and high? If there is no lisp already created, how to create one?

We have some huge models and people seem to forget to change their visual styles back to 2D wireframe before saving and exiting drawings. Some models will crash on some workstations when trying to open in a rendered mode.
I found a lisp with a function that looked to set viewport visual styles. But it does not seem to be supported anymore. --> (vla-put-VisualStyle vport 1)
I'm trying to write a lisp routine that, when I invoke the mleader command, osmode is set to "nearest" & orthomode is set off. I then would like the original settings to be returned.

I am trying to find a lisp that would get an attribute value (tag name = NBR_5) . I'm trying to run a simple routine that would let the user place the value from the titleblock attribute as text on a drawing. View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to find acceptable point values to feed to the vlax-3d-point function for a vla-addmtext function. With vanilla lisp I just provide the point as x y = "7/32" "2-3/8". So I assumed that I could drop a 0 in for the z like: (VLAX-3D-POINT "7/32" "2-3/8" 0).
Then I thought I was going to be tricksy and try (vlax-3D-point (getpoint)) believing that I could pick the point and get what I need to feed the function, but yet again, no deal. The command line gave me:

Nothing I can use in my code. So how do I find the point in a format that vlax-3d-point will like?

Is there a quick way of getting the value of an attribute?
I have an attributed block called "tp_attributes" and it has and attribute called "OrderNum".
I just want to be able to quickly grab that value.
I use Spell Check regularly and I always check the entire drawing. I would like to add to the Spell macro so that when I pick Spell from the toolbar it goes past the Check Spelling window and begins checking the entire drawing.
I believe I need to insert Alt S into my macro to select Start from the window to begin the check. Is there a character or series of characters that will represent Alt in a macro?

I have a drawing that has 2D pipeline (only x and y, z value =0) and 3 topo contour lines ( with x, y and z vaules). I need to divide the the 2D pipeline into say 2000 points and then get the corresponding z values from the topo contour lines. I think it can be done by interpolating between the z values for the two apparent intersection points of the 2D line and the contour lines, the x and y values will be the same for the points that falls between these two aparent intersections. Is there any lisp out there that can do that.

Is there a way to find the name of the third folder?
The string length of the characters for each of the first, second, third (and so on) folders are different, which means I can't count character using the "substr" function.
I have a list that contains data like this,

How would I go about sorting this list by AA5, QV, QS? I know how to use vl-sort and reverse, but I do not understand how I would go about this.
