Apr 24, 2013If I have BLOCKA on a layer (or specifically layer 0), how do you copy blockA onto every layers? I'm sure there are 5 ways of doing this.

AutoCAD Visual LISP / AutoLISP :: Copy / Move And Rotate Block(s) About Y-axis
Jul 31, 2012I found a program which rotates selected block(s) about thier insertion point. I modified it to rotate each of the block(s) about the y-axis. Works great. Now, I would like to change it so that it rotates a copy of each block about the y-axis and leaves the origial block in place. Its kind of like the mirror command exept it is rotating the new block(s) to the other side instead of flipping them. I want to keep all or the parameters of the block(s) the same as each original. I am using AutoCAD 2010. MOCORO is not recognized as a command. The new features workshop says to use the new command AMCOPYRM, which is not recognized either. Go figure.

AutoCAD Visual LISP / AutoLISP :: Copy Block Increase Attribute Number
Jun 19, 2012I have a simple hexagon block with one attribute, i need to be able to copy it and as i do it increases the number by one.
the Block name is note1-2006 the attribute name is NOTENUM. I have tried using some other Lisps but i cant ge them to work. Sometimes i have to put 40 of these on a sketch i hate copying and changing the attribute by one everytime. so it would be nice to copy and as i pick mutliple spots it increase number. Dont know if there is a way to ask user to keep same number or increase. This would save me so much time.

Jun 20, 2012I was able to write a LISP that replaced each node with a block of my choice.However, now I need to find a way now to replace the blocks with different blocks.Each point shares the exact same block called "PILE". Different blocks are on different layers and have 11 different colors. I'd like to replace blocks on layer 1 with a block called "1" and blocks on layer 2 with a block called "2" and so on.I was hoping there would be an easy way to do this in LISP, but I've been unable to get any of my scripts to work.

Jul 10, 2013Im currently creating a custom menu to insert blocks on request. I have set up the following macro which seems to work fine:-
^c^c-insert;HVLV-UB610x125;;;;
However when pulling in a specific block the drawing the layer becomes 0.
Ive tryed adding this additional macro line before the above one which fixes the problem :-
^C^C-LAYER;M;E-LIGHTING-CEIL;C;R;;;ORTHOMODE;1;^c^c-insert;HVLV-UB610x125;;;;
However now the block retains its layer properties ......ie E-Lighting-Ceil (or what ever I name it) but it drops the block
in RED, instead of its original colour.
Question is Im looking for a macro that will bring in my block as per ^c^c-insert;HVLV-UB610x125;;;;
but also bring it in to a drawing on its original layer that its saved to.
please note that even thou the first code brings it in at layer 0, the blocks layer is also inserted into the DWG however its just not associated to it ..... hence the user has to select the block once he or she has brought it in and then change the layer from the layers manager manually. This is not ideal.
just to recap i just need a macro that will A) bring in a block from a location. And B) keep all the properties it has when it is brought in.

Aug 23, 2013I have a keyboard shortcut for Copy (see directly below). This command doesn't copy multiple. But if I type "Copy" at the comment prompt (AutoCAD 2013) the copy multiple is the default. Copymode is already set to "0".

AutoCAD Visual LISP / AutoLISP :: Removing Nested Block From Main Block?
Oct 3, 2013I get an AutoCAD drawing from my conveyor manufacturer who have buried a block (tagname) in all of their conveyor blocks.
The only way to remove them is to manually use BEDIT and erase the tagname block.
Is there a way through Autolisp to search all blocks in a drawings and if the tagname block is part of the definition of the conveyor block, erase the tagname block or redefine the conveyor block without the tagname block.

Mar 8, 2013When dynamic blocks are inserted they're assigned an anonymous block name. I'd like to be able to retrieve the name of the parent block after selecting the block on screen using AutoLisp.

Apr 5, 2013Create a routine that looks for a block based on a portion of that block name, using a specified path or search path.
For example, block to search for is BLOCKABC123, so if someone inputs ABC or 123 as a block name, it will locate that block within that folder and inserts it into the drawing at a user specified location.
Ideally, if there is a check in that if it finds more than one match, then perhaps it flags or prompts you to choose 1, 2, or 3 option which block to use. But I can live without this special function if it requires too much time to code.

Feb 12, 2012I need to match few attribute values from one block to different block. I download a lisp file called; ca.lsp which can match the single attribute value. I modified it for more than one attribute value matching. It is ok but still wish to overcome two issues for batch prcess
1. picking up the blocks by selection
2. click the alternative block numbers of times to match the numbers of attribute values I needed.
How to modify this lisp I can run it by block name selections instead of picking selection which enable me to run batch process for numbers of drawing? That will be good...

Nov 30, 2012I have a block that i want to insert several times and revised each one to be different to do this i would have to insert it and rename the blocks that come in and then reinsert i would like to insert and have a lisp explode the main block and rename the other 2 blocks with a suffix at the end depending on how many times its in the drawing... can this even be done? My original block name that will be first inserted is "BENT PULLEY NOTES" it needs to explode after i drop it in and then there are 2 blocks within that called "Bent Pulley" and "Bent Pulley DYN" that i was hoping to keep the names but add a number at the end depending on how many are in the drawing already...

Dec 23, 2013I have a dwg with 40 blocks that have a non-annotative property. I can go through 1 by 1 and change the property to annotative and redefine the block. Is it possible to automate this? I have done some google searches but have not found anything I am able to cut and paste or put together to get it to work.

Oct 17, 2011I would like to copy FIllet command and have multiple Fillet buttons with different radius. In the CUI file under toolbars when you right click and copy a button and then change the macro command it changes all the buttons to the same macro.
I guess it does that since when you copy a botton, the new button has the same Element ID name.

Sep 26, 2013I have a routine that counts dynamic blocks by visibility state and stores that information then prompts for scale and color and stores that information. Then a legend begins to build from the data and a collection of blocks to reflect the dynamic blocks and their visibility state. Everything works great on all of the machines around the office except on one. When the legend begins building, the one user is getting the DDATTE dialog instead of allowing the values to populate as expected. So, I had him change ATTREQ to 0 an run again. No deal, the same thing happens again and again. And; it only occurs on the one machine.

Sep 27, 2010We have a block contain 10 attibs to be seen with 8 differents scales making 80 attribs! (We use that before Annotative features). When we edit this block, we have a LISP that ask for the 10 avlues, and copy it for all the scale.
This lisp use the block ename in argument.
We start to use that block with MLEADER, but we can not edited with our lisp (can not find the ename of the block in the MLEADER definition ).
Is that a way to find this ename, and to be able to modify (our substitute) all the attributes value.

but I have more than 150 dwg file and I should open all of dwgs one by one and setting ON/OFF for STAMP layer for every drawing and it takes so much time!
