I want to drag and drop a csv file containing some coordinates into autocad and the result to be dbpoints objects.
I know how to create a command to point to the file and to do this but I would like the command to be called when I drag and drop the file into autocad.
I don't know what made it stop but at this point it's beginning to bug me to no end. I can no longer simply drag a file into Photoshop. I now have to go to "file --> open" in order to get anything into. Is there anything I can do to restore the ability to drag and drop? Just to let you know I reset the preferences already and that did nothing. The other thing is I'm running Windows 7, however I've never had an issue with PS on it. I'm using CS4.

I would like to create a file where people can drag and drop on of the images from layer two onto a slot in layer one. Ideally I would like it to remain stable if the place an image in the slot (meaning if they try to place one of the images from layer 2 into layer 1, I want it to align perfectly).

so just a dragged photo from desktop to browser and let that attend a div, and a input button to upload a photo and let that attend a div.all simple local.
sometimes i like to insert image into a Dwg. In 2012 i use to drag and drop the image from the source folder to autocad screen then i had the insert instructions, scale, position etc.
But i can't drag and drop images anymore in 2013, i have to use _imageattach icon to open the open manager then select an image.
Is there a way to reactivate the drag and drop feature in 2013 ? Must be a Variable to autorise that.
I have a new computer loaded with 2012LT and have transferred the license from my old machine but the new program starts up in the default settings. I have a personalised workspace with numerous settings, including custom commands, which I do not want to have to recreate from scratch. I have tried renaming acadlt.cuix to acadlt0.cuix then copying the acadlt.cuix from the old machine but when I restart 2012 it has the same layout as originally.
Looking at cui import, it seems you have to drag and drop every item from the customized cui to the current cui.
I would like to use the behaviour of  "drag and drop" into AutoCad (from a listbox in a form) at a specific point, I do not need to drop anything into AutoCad, I just need the exact point of the mouseposition converted to WCS in autocad.

(Maybe it is possible to just change the mouse-cursor, but it doesn't 'lock' the selected item in the listbox, as if it was dragged into the drawing.)
1) All of the computers at the office allow you to drag and drop blocks on the tool palette except one. You must go thru the Design Center to add blocks to the palette on this one computer.
2) Another tool palette question; a few of the blocks do not have an image on the palette, only the block name. They work just like the ones with images but a quick check of the properties indicates no difference. Why no image?
I have PDF images i.e road signs, is it possible to drag and drop from a tool palette.
At present i download an eps file of a sign, convert to pdf, then import in to DWG.
Can i make the PDF into a block...
Do i need to create a DWG of the sign and convert in to a block.
at present i am alittle lost with what to do... i am after a quicker way to reduce my time producing dwgs.

im used to opening up two drawings simultaneously, and i used to drag & drop entities with one another but for some strange reason i cannot do this drag & drop thing anymore with my drawings, i tried to use ccleaner to clean up the clipboard, tried searching it here and googling it but still cannot find any clue.

I don't need or want the drag and drop (DROPGEOM) command. I never use it because it is much slower than simply using the move command or grips. But some times when I am going faster than the computer I accidentally do it and then have to wait while it moves the object and then wait while I use undo to move it back. It can take a really long time if I accidentally move a large xref. So is there some way to turn off drag and drop of autocad entities?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have determine that my AutoCad 2009 will allow me to drag/drop layers to an existing Group Layer Filter, but it will not allow me to right click on the Group Filter>Select Layers>Add. Once I go to the model space an select layers then "enter" no layers are added to the Filter Group and it gives me an error message that says "unable to modify layers while another command is active".

When I go to create other palettes I am unable to drag and drop blocks into them. I am able to drag and drop into the tool palette I previously created and then drag and drop into the new palette.
But when IÂ shut off Autocad and reopen the new palettes disappear. How can I create a new tool palette and it works, then create other tool palettes and I can not drag and drop to it? I am using Autocad Architecture 2013.
We're testing some new machines running Windows 7 64-bit with both AutoCAD Architecture 2011 and 2012 64-bit installed.
When dragging and dropping a model space view onto a sheet, instead of the folder with paperclip symbol, we're getting a circle with a line through it prohibited symbol. This only occurs when our project files are on our network. When we use them on a local machine this does not occur.
We cannot drag and drop onto new sheets either.

We are running on a Novell Linux Open Enterprise Server network. We previously had a problem with not being able to open any sheets if another drawing was open, which we resolved by disabling Novell File Caching. We are also now experiencing unhandled e06d7363h exception errors with any type of file access in the Project Navigator. This crashing also does not occur when the files are on the local machine.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm running Windows 7 here at work and I can't drag and drop scenes into the max viewport, or texture maps into the material editor or any sort of the dragging and dropping that I can do on my home computer or any of the other computers that run max here at work.
I'm using 3ds max design 2011, I'm running it as administrator and everything is up to date. I also can't drag and drop into photoshop, but I can drag and drop to the desktop and from one folder to another. So either both of my programs, on this computer only, had some setting disabled, or it's the OS. But like I said, I can drag and drop within Windows just fine.
I'm having this problem since the last time I formatted my computer. Basically, when I try to drag an image into photoshop, the cursors changes into a circle with a slash in it (unavailable).
I can open files by right clicking and choosing "Open with -> Adobe Photoshop CS6", and I can also open with "File > Open..." (ctrl+O)
I've searched for a soltion for this and nothing worked. This is what I've tried doing so far:
- Resetting the preferences (ctrl+alt+shift)
- Running with administative rights
- Running without administrative rights
- Making sure I have premissions for the files
- Making sure the files are not set as read-only
- Changing the scratch disk option (Preference -> Performance)

My Adobe PhotoDeLuxe was unfortunately deleted and I had to buy Photoshop, which is far less convenient for my needs. How can I drag and drop, or copy and paste, an image I have modified in Photoshop directly into another programme, in my case usually MS Publisher ?

Is there a way that, when I double click an image in My Pictures, I do not have to watch a long list of the people who designed Photoshop before I can actually use it?
I've been using photoshop cs6 Extended for almost a year now and never have had any problems with it. Recently however, I purchased a desktop with Windows 8, and when I reinstalled Photoshop on that, I have had problems since. When I move to drag something onto photoshop (Whenetheir it's from the internet or a folder on my Computer), A black Stop icon that represents my mouse refuses to let me. I can still open files normally with the "Open" tab in Photoshop I've already tried the following:

I'm using CS4 and haven't had this problem before. After loading various actions, I am unable to drag and drop them into one of my sets. The actions either drop above or below the set. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

When I drag now onto PS, PS show a dialog box with sizes and stuff and when I click 'ok', I only get a white canvas with the wrong sizes and when I paste (maybe the image 'hangs' in the clipboard) it pastes nothing..

On XP I can drag an image directly from Mozilla to Photoshop and it opens it in a new document.
In Vista that doesn't work anymore.
I was able to drag/drop 1 photo into the canvas but unable to drag anymore into same canvas. I have several layers with 1 photo, border effects, and type. but, cannot drag any additional jpg photos into project.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI made a web browser based model library for our assets for internal use. Ppl could "upload" their stuff to this site, add categories, tags, etc... and it worked very well. Since we moved to 2013 dragging and dropping from the web browser into max is not possible anymore. The files that were cataloged in the system had a local file link to the file on our server. So you saw the image of a model, and it was hyperlinked to the file like "file://///sever/library/maxfile.max", and if you dragged and dropped that image onto the MAX viewport, it brought up the import/merge file dialog. Not anymore.
I have everything running in admin mode, and I can drag and drop files from windows explorer, but that`s a big setback compared to the browser based system.
