I'm using VS Pro x4 with one update installed. I recently created a disk for Zumbathon which was an ALS fundraiser. It was footage shot on a Canon HF S21 and the quality used was second from the best (I can't tell you the setting at the moment). I have used this camera and this setting for other videos and have never had an issue. Basically I took about 10 clips and inserted them in the time line overlapping each which caused the program to add a transition clip at random which I expected. I viewed the 4 minute video in the edit mode and all was perfect. The transitions were awesome and matched the beats of the music. These clips involved exercise footage with music playing in the background and they were in HD.
After burning a disk, (AVCHD and DVD) I noticed an audio drop out between clips with transitions. Also some audio at the beginning of these clips was also clipped. I tried everything under the sun to get this right including replacing all the transitions. The only thing that worked was the following:
Splitting off the audio to a separate audio track which was difficult. Why I experienced the audio drop out only when rendering to disk or file--not in the time line? As mentioned, I have used transitions for years with this program and never experienced this issue before.
I am using VSP X3 Pro on a Windows 7 Professional 64bit PC. Input video files are AVCHD from a Canon SX 210s camera.
Picture format is QuickTime 1280x720, 24bit, frame rate 29.97, sound 16bit little Endian, 48000kHz, 16bit stereo. Files copied from an SD card.
I find that if I insert transition effects I lose the original recorded audio from that point forward in the clip that follows. If I do not use transition effects then the audio is fine. If I subsequently remove the transition then the audio is restored. It appears the transitions are the root cause of the problem. Identical problem if I use my Windows 7 32 bit laptop. The audio track remains visible in the timeline even when no sound can be heard.
Based on a previous suggestion I've used a workaround by converting the clips to a different format before editing. Using AVI, the audio in clips following a transition file is not lost but the video quality is seriously degraded.
I've reinstalled the software & all the three available patches. The problem has been around ever since I moved to my new PC on Windows 7.
Have just started using Corel Video Studio Pro X3 on my new desktop PC on Windows7 64 bit. I was previously using on a Windows XP Pro PC without any issues. When I create a video file with transitions I only get circa 0.25sec of audio after each transition , then silence. If I delete the transitions then I get continuous audio. Have tried various & random transitions but no difference.I’m starting with files from a Canon camera with the following spec.: Movies: MOV (Image data: H.264, Audio data: Linear PCM) (Stereo. I’ve tried creating files of MPEG2 (720x576, 25FPS, PAL DVD (16:9) & same as project settings but no difference.
PC Spec. CPU: Intel i5-760, Motherboard: Intel DP55KG ATX , Graphics Card: Saphire HD 5770 Vapour X, RAM: 16Gb DDR3 1333, Sound Card: ASUS Xonar Essence STX, Peak Dual DVB-T Digital TV PCI Card, HDDs: Samsung F3 HD103SJ 1TB x2, F4 HD 204UI 2Tb x1, DVD writer: Samsung SH-S222A/BEBE, Akasa AK-ICR-01B Internal Card Reader, Windows 7 64 bit
I am using v X4.I have a video clip that contains audio that I split off into its own audio track, right click split audio. I then edited out a couple parks of the video replacing the cut video with a still image. right click replace video with still image. So far so great, everything plays back perfectly. When I put transitions in where the video meets the photo or when the photo then meets up with the video again the audio gets out of sync. Is there a way to get the transition in there and still have the audio track be in sync with the rest of the video?
V=video T=transition "photo for 4 seconds" is where the photo has bee inserted. A= audio track X=out of sync
I have just loaded X4 (previously used VS 11.5 Plus); however, I can not seem to get the sound working properly inside the X4 program. My sound card is fine and when I play/select the individual files using windows explorer they all play fine. Is there a global mute setting that I have to turn off/on?
Also, I have a lot of audio, transitions(burger, etc) and animation files from VS 11.5+ that I would like to make available in X4. How you upload these file into X4? How to load the Bonus Audio content that came with X4 (animal, cartoon, etc)...
Have reinstalled Premiere Pro 6.0.5 because I cannot drag Audio Transitions or Effects to any Timeline sequences in my Projects. Have tried modifier keys, but to no avail.
I have some transitions that I would like to add to my transitions list in VideoStudio. The transitions are in the Quicktime animation ".mov" format. Is there a way to add them in?
I have recently upgraded my old VideoStudio 12.00 to VideoStudio Pro X4 and have only just started using the program again after a couple of years of absence so I am still on a learning curve.
Can I extract the audio from a video clip and if so how and how can I convert it, if necessary into an Audio Interchange File Format, so that I can export it to a program such as Audacity for removing background wind noise before importing the Audio back into the videoStudio project.
I have tried using all the audio filter functions in VS to remove the background noise, to no avail.
Video Studios 12 Pro had 14 flashback transitions. When upgraded to VS X3 Pro and now to VS X4 Pro noticed that there is only 1 flashback transition. Is there some way to copy the transitions from VS 12 to VS X14 Pro ?
I just downloaded the trial version of VideoStudio Pro X6 - in the transitions panel, there appears to be a total of three transitions. This seems to be really lacking, but I wonder if I am missing something?
I'm currently using my VideoStudio X4 Trial before considering buying a license. I have a tiny problem with Title transitions in X4, as you now is able to put transitions on titles.
Look at the video i made for more information about my problem: [URL]........
I am making some videos.. And i really liked the flashback transition. but there's only one transition. i saw some tech videos online where they used somewhat same transitions.. where can we get more transitions?
I recently purchased the x5 ultimate pro edition, but a few years ago i had an older version but i noticed something....
the older version used to have close to 40 transitions, but the new one even with the extra download pack still only 3 transitions.. did something not get installed?
I have noticed that there is only 1 transition in both the ALBUM and FLASHBACK 'folders' in VS Pro X3 yet in VS 9 (and VS 10 I think) there are around 15 in each (folder).
The relevant file names (containing the transitions in each 'folder') are in the Vfx_Plug directory (folder) but are they interchangeable (can I just copy them across from VS9 to VS X3 without causing problems)?
I have in my VS11+ a lot of mask transitions installed, If I remember well they came from the content pack or the bonus pack. when I list the existing list in X4 they did not exist. How can I copy them to X4. Which files should be copy from vs11 to x4 and to which folder. I also have OLD add on transitions that I used in vs11+ on XP like BORIS Factory. I managed to install it on the new pc and at the first look it "work" (The Boris menu open) But when I press on any of the Icons X4 crash !
I am using VS ProX3 & have just purchased PaintShop ProX3. PaintShop has a very nice page transition in the photobook section & I would love to have that, or something like it, available for VS. I've searched the forum for any info on a page turn transition that actually looks like a page turning.... any transition like this for VS?
I tried the slideshows in Paintshop but had difficulty with using various sized photos & the panning effects, etc. So I created my project again as a photobook & it was superb as far as that went....I'd like to time the animation of those pages (similar to MS PowerPoint transitions) & add music BUT I cannot seem to accomplish that there. Next I saved all pages as .jpg, imported those to VS & created a very nice movie with available transitions, music, titles, etc. This is acceptable, BUT I would love to have that particular "page turning" transition for VS.
How to turn off the "add automatic transition" function. I am using VSx4. I can go to Settings>Preferences> and hit the Edit tab, and I make SURE that the "automatically add transition effect" box is NOT checked, click OK but there is still a transition that gets added when two clips are placed next to each other. I turned on the function to check it out, and now I want to get rid of it, and can't find out how to get it to go away!
Just purchased VideoStudio Pro x6. Attempting a slideshow and noticed I have only 3 transitions, whereas the individual who's tutorial I'm following has over a dozen. Where can I obtain additional transitions? Activated the GetMore button inside the program and it brings up quite a bit of additional content, but it's unclear to me if any of it contains additional transitions.
Can I overlap clips without a transition? Here's what I'm trying to do (VS Pro X3) - I have about 30 clips that I'm putting together. All of the clips need trimming at both ends. With Sony Vegas 9, I only had to trim the beginning of each clip because then I could overlap the clips to "trim" the END of each clip (the clip previous to the overlapping clip). It appears to me that with VS Pro X3 I have to trim both ends of each clip and then put them all together end-to-end because when I overlap them, the overlapping clip doesn't actually overlap the previous clip on the timeline, but both clips transition into one another. What I want is for the overlapping clip to truly overlap the previous clip, effectively ending that clip at the point of overlap. If I don't want transitions, must I trim all clips on both ends and put them together with no overlaps?
And BTW I don't use my Sony Vegas 9 (Platinum Pro Pack) any more because the program has a bug that makes mp4 rendering impossible, and other renders very sketchy.
I've been making a video with about 400 photos on it and am using various transitions.
What I can't work out what to do is how can I edit a transition then save or copy that edited version of the transition off somewhere so I can use it multiple times? It seems I get the 'base' transition, can add it to the timeline then have to edit each and every transition - it takes hours!
Whenever I use any transition, it causes a flash of white noise on the video as the transition starts. It goes away if I make the transition very very long.
I use Videostudio x3 for my band's music videos project..i recorded with Olympus PEN E-PL1 on AVI MJPEG 720p hd 30fps.and now i decided to work on the Solo guitar scene first.
when i compiling a multiple scene with transition effect (like: crossfade) between scenes,i later compile it with settings "same as the first clip" as my purpose to rejoining this solo guitar scene to my entirely music videos project later, after finished rendering,i watched it and there are no transition effect between scenes! it is just a blank black screen when changing scene to scene who applied a transition effect(crossfade).
and i had another problem, when i edited the scene with brightness/color/contrast correction, the scene will shown the pixels/square pixels just like a low resolutions after i saved as "same as the first clip" settings.
I have a problem creating a video file. I have HD camera and use Corel Video Studio Pro X3.
After I finished downloading all videos, I add transitions and click “create video file”. After that I select AVCHD NTSC HD-1440. I give file a name, save as “mpeg” and click “ok”. The file begins to render but then I always get an error “The program has encountered an unspecified error and has stopped functioning. Please contact Corel Technical Support and send the dump file for analysis”.
After that the programs shuts down. I am unable to create any videos with transitions. I can though make video with no transitions or other effects. I have a copy of the "dump" file but cannot attach it here, the system won't let me.
On timeline, when I overlap ends of 2 video clips, I do not get a crossfade, as in X2, but only "random" transitions. A crossfade is not even listed as a default choice under preferences.
I have V3, can you tell me does V4 has the ability to copy and paste transitions yet? I'm sick of doing 100 transitions and having to edit each one when I want the same each time.
I have been unable to use any of the transitions in the Video Studio X3 program. When I drag the transition to the time line, it will not drop on the time line. It shows a circle with a line through it.
and will not allow the drag and drop. Does the transition function not work on the Trial version?
