This is with Epson 2400, but it may apply for others. I click print and the plastic base around the print, move around, but the paper does not go through. or maybe it just shoots through without printing. i've done all the basic like turning the printer off and rebooting etc. I'm out of ideas. Curious how others deal with this.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI need to have users plot to DWF from paper space so they can retain their customized layers colors etc, on that specific paper space tab, as well as the view via viewport that they like most.
I then am mixing this with FDO data generated out of Model space. Unfortunately, when using the EXPORTLAYOUT command, the data is coped into Model space but seems to retain it's paper space coordinates. I had hoped this function would behave like CHSPACE and copy everything from paper to model space in the same scale.
Is there a way for me to achieve this?
I am useing a Canon Pro 9000 MKII and when I try to print 11x14 paper, it will not alow custom paper size. The Canon printer driver does have custom size but it does not show up in printer settings.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Photoshop CS5.1 won't open properly anymore. When I click to open it, the logo pops up to start up, but it's split in half and the bottom part is above the top for some reason. After it loads everything looks right until I open an image. The image opens, but its all messed up it looks all distorted, I guess the best way to describe it is to say it's kind of checkered/pixelated. And the same thing happens to the toolbars, they get mixed in with the image when I open it.

ISSUE in PS CS6:
When I'm retouching with a tool (like the clone tool) consecutively (maybe 7-12 times), I get a "bink" sound, as if the tool has locked up. I can't use hot keys (keyboard short cuts) to undo, resize or resample without getting this "bink" sound. I've clicked on the "move" tool then select the cloning tool (with my mouse) but that only works for 1 more spot.
The "bink" continues for any other hot key (keyboard short cut) operation. I don't want to purge history until I'm completely finished. Quitting / relauncing PS clears this but only until I use the tool consecutively a few times again. What is causing that and how do I fix it?
I'm a power user with 300 images to retouch on a very tight deadline. Eeeeep.Keyboard short cuts are my salvation.
At work I use mac and a wacom tablet. The lines when i use a brush are very smooth.The problem I am having is occuring on my PC at home. For some reason the brush edges are not smooth (even when i draw a staight line).
In the image attached, you can see the yellow lines done at work (using mac and wacom) and the white lines on my home PC (windows and Huion tablet).Do you think its a settings issue? My home computer has 4Gb of ram and an Nvidia graphics card.
I have this photo of me and my son that I put on my "about" page on my website, I cut the background out using the background eraser tool, and it looks great on my website, but if I put it on an all black background I can see where some of the pixels that should have been erased have not been, I have spent hour cutting out the image, is there a faster more efficient way of doing this in the future?

I am trying to create an animated GIF banner. The banner consist of 2 text layers and several pictures. The text layers remain fixed, only the pictures change.
I have 8 frames and each frame should have following visibility: background, textlayer 1 and 2, [picture] layer X and Xcopy (b.t.w. each picture layer and the belonging copy layer have the same picture and properties).
Now when I change the visibility from frame 1: background, textlayer 1 and 2,layer 2 and 2copy to frame 2: background, textlayer 1 and 2, layer 3 and 3copy and so forth, the visibility of one of the layers in the other frames changes automatically. Photoshop changes one of the visible layers in frame one to layer three and dismisses the chosen layer 2.
I tried merging the X and Xcopy layers, that caused one of the layers not being visible any more leaving me with half the picture. Linking the layers had no effect wht so ever.how I can prevent photoshop from changing the frames i.e. fixing the visibility of each frame?
I want to calibrate my display properly and I am little confused. There are too many settings and wizards. First of all there are display settings (brightness, contrast, black level, color temperature, sharpness). Second -- graphics card settings (hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, color temperature, color correction curves). Third -- there are Windows color management settings in Control Panel (ICC profiles, WCS profiles, etc). Fourth -- Adobe Gamma. Firth -- I can use calorimeter to set display LUT.
How all that level of settings are related? In what order they should be changed? What color temperature is "best"? How Adobe gamma correlated with Windows 7 color management wizard? What is best? (They are producing different profiles.)
I "just" want to make photos of what I see, see it then on display more or less precisely and then print it.
I have problems withe the cursor: it is a cros. I try in preferences to set it to another, or a standard cursor. I then close and restart te CS6. No way to get a normal cursor.

I am using Mac OSX 10.8.3 and can view a font "Curlz MT" in my font book and use it in applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator etc.
If I use finder to find the font, no luck, it is also not stored in Library>Fonts. I am trying to see if I can use it in @fontface for use in website but cant seem to find it on my system.
I am having issues with my newly installed Photoshop CS5. Most of my keyboard functions are not working, as if Photoshop did not recognize that keys were eing pressed.
When creating a new document or saving a file, I cannot type anything into the document name field. Same happens when trying to create a new folder to save in.No tool shortcuts work (M for marquee, B for brush, V for move, etc.). On-canvas brush changes ([ and ] for size, { and } for hardness) also do not work.Most regular shortcuts do work (Cmd+Z, Cmd+S, etc.) but "advanced" shortcuts do not work (Cmd+Alt+Z, Cmd+Shift+Z, etc.).
I used Photoshop CS4 before with no problems. Other Adobe programs (Dreamweaver, Flash, Acrobat, etc.) are working normally.
2 hours not being able to do any work cause my new photoshop CC isnt working! I opened Illustrator fine and PS CS5 opens fine its just the CC CS6 that isnt opening.
View 1 Replies View Relatedam using Photoshop CC and just the other day my gradient tool started acting strange - when I go to apply a gradient on a layer or a layer mask, I will drag the gradient and then if I try to drag it from a different angle to add to it, it erases what I've done and starts a new gradient from that angle. I've never had this issue, is there some setting I need to have adjusted?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been using liquify to make minor adjustments to slim down people in photos and up to now it has always worked fine. Today I try to do the same just to make the arms of the girls (attached) a little trimmer and liquify tool refuses to allow slight corrections bit by bit. Instead as soon as you start dragging just a tiny amount it makes a huge jump and drags the pixels massively off. It seems to drag them down first, then make them in a roughly circular shape the size of the cursor.
How can I rest liquify tool to how it was? Why it should suddenly change like that unless I have tripped something by mistake. I thought at first it might be my mouse but I have tried it with mouse, tablet and trackpad all separately wtih nothing else in the USB and still the same result. Have rebooted photoshop and the computer too to no avail.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy laptop motherboard fried and so I'm trying to reinstall my CS2 Creative Suite (legal copy) on my new laptop. Since my old serial number is no longer supported, I downloaded the creative suite from the links provided on the Adobe website. All of the other programs have opened just fine, but when I try to run Photoshop, I get an error that says "Your Adobe Photoshop user name, organization, or serial number is missing or invalid. The application cannot continue and must now exit. And then it closes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop, and have also tried downloading the just the Photoshop file from the website, but it never presents me with an opportunity to put in a serial number, which the other programs did.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am using Adobe Photoshop CC and I want to crop an image by a specific Width x Height. In previous versions of Photoshop, I was easily able to select the crop tool and input the dimensions up top where it would be labeled as W x H. Now, there are no options for W x H now and all I can choose are weird ratios. I have looked online on how to use the crop tool, and every single tutorial I've looked at says to use the Width x Height option, AKA unconstrained, but that doesn't exist. Instead, all I can choose are ratios and there are arrows in between the input boxes instead of an "x" symbol. I've attached an image to show what few options I have, none of which are Width x Height or unconstrained.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi bought a new laptop and as always i installed ps cs6 and other software such as indesign and illustrator. my problem is that whenever i open a jpg/png/whatever file with photoshop OR the windows default image viewer the colors appear strange and the greys are kind of "brownish". the same problem appears when i work with any file in indesign or illustrator, but the colors appear normal when i open the images with other program such as paint.
