Photoshop Elements :: 10 / Windows 8 - Cannot Add Music To Slideshow
Sep 16, 2013
I am using Elements 10 on my new Windows 8 computer. When I tried to add music to the slide show I got the message "Required compressor/decompressor (codec) not available to play the selected music on your system". The music that I selected plays fine useing the computers music player. Adding music has allways worked fine on my old Windows vista computer!! What can I do?
I am trying to select a song for a slide show. The song is in the library of Windows Media Player. When I am in LR Slideshow I click on "select music" The Select Music window does not show the Windows Media Player.
This is on a PC laptop with Window Vista Home.
How can I get to the library in the Windows Media Player to select a song?
I am trying to add an mp3 purchased from Amazon to a slide show. I'm getting a message that I don't have a compressor / decompressor? how to add music?
I am trying to add music to my slide show and I get this error: The selected file cannot be played because your system does not have the required compressor/decompressor (codec) installed. I went to the Adobe site and downloaded a codec program, and restarted but still got the same error.
I am using PSE 11 and am trying to add music to a slideshow and can't get anything to load other than the pre-recorded background music I am trying to transfer music from my i tunes library but it won't load.
When I try to add MP3 music to a slide show in PSE11, I get an error message that I am missing a codec. I have installed two codecs without any success. Wil this problem go away if I use tthe premier version?
Ever since I switched to Photoshop Elements 10 and subsequently 11 (both are on my computer), I have been unable to add music media.
I copied ALL of my music CDs to my hard drive and to my iphone etc. They are there and I can play them. I have been unable to add my music. For example this is what happens when I am in Photoshop Elements 10 slideshow:
* ADD MEDIA * Audio from folder * iTunes * iTunes Media * Music from CDs * every folder I try returns the message "no items match your search".
My slideshows are quite lengthy and run for longer than a standard song. If I fit to the music, the slides change too quickly. Is it possible to somehow have multiple songs that run back to back ?? It would be great if more than one song could be fitted to the duration of the slideshow. I like to have a decent time length before each slide changes.
I have created a slideshow with Lightroom 5 that has 807 photos. The duration of the slide show is 1 hour, 33 minutes. When I try to add music in LR 5, it will allow only one song. How do I add music that will cover the entire slide show?
In the slideshow module of Lightroom 5.3, whenever I select a music file it becomes the default for all other slideshows. Didn't have this problem in Lightroom 3.x. Is there a way to over-ride this so that each collection can have its own music track?
I am trying to create a slideshow then when I tried to put music and hit the play button the music is distorted in slow tempo. I tried exporting it and I still got the same result.
I asked at Photoshop World this month whether or not Adobe has included the ability to place more than one track of music in a slide show. Unfortunately, this is not possible with the latest release of LR5. However, I would find this incredibly useful for longer slideshows without having to resort to a third party software.
In LR4 when I burn my slideshow video to a USB and play on my TV, the slideshow works fine but the mp3 music skips during transitions. Played on the PC music is fine. I am using 'fit to music'
I cant make the music duration slider in the slideshow go to 3.7. I can only get it to go between 3.6 & 3.8 Can this be done. Fit to Music does not work for slideshow. Music ends before pictures
We aren't able to download from I-tunes into slideshows, (PS Elements 12). Says we need another codex to compress/ decompress. We've tried several players. What steps do we take to make this happen?
I have had a problem occur in the past few slideshows I have tried to produce in Photoshop Elements 10. When I try to export to Premiere Elements or Windows DVD Maker to burn, some slides show up as blanks. I have also had a problem with some musical selections not playing.
