View 1 RepliesI'm an amateur moving up to LR 3 and have been trying to learn this program by reading the LR3 book by Scott Kelby. He shows that the Camera Calibration feature has some settings for specific cameras yet the drop down menu has none listed. I've upgraded to 3.6 and the images were copied from raw to DNG.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am relatively new to Lightroom. I have imported Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 raw (.RW2) files into Lightroom 5.3. When I go into the Develop module under the Camera Calibration the only profile that shows up is Adobe Standard. My camera is supported according to the Adobe web site.

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded by macbook to mountain lion and have bought lightroom 5. I have photoshop elements 8. I have a sony alpha a-65 camera. I haven't installed lightroom 5 yet because I wanted to make sure everything is compatible with my older mac before I did. I have lightroom 4. My question---I can't open .arw images on my computer with my Camera Raw version 5.5..0.97 now. Sony A-65 requires 6.5 version but it would open before I put mountain lion on my mac. Will lightroom 5 add the lastest camera raw and solve this. Is it necessary for me to get elements 12 to get this all to work?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to import photo's taken on a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS, in a camera raw format with a CR2 file extension. No luck - the pictures are greyed out on the import screen. Added the Camera Raw program, version 7.4. Didn't find our camera in the supported camera's list, but there are plenty of Canon EOS Rebels in there, so thought we'd take a chance.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy can we not have Camera Raw open as an external editor from Lightroom? I use all three and to be honest it is a real in the butt importing my images into Lightroom, editing, then exporting as original format, opening in Camera Raw so i can take advantage some of it's new editing tools (which are far superior to lightroom's) then opening the file in Photoshop.
Why do we need all three, shouldn't Lightroom be the Camera Raw program. Also is there a way around having images editted in Photoshop or any external editor from saving the edited file in Lightroom. I do not need the edited file saved in the original directory and part of the catalog... I have already edited it and need it saved into my working directory. We should at least have an option in the preferences or in the "Edit with" dialog box.
Is is possible to include the camera WB setting (e.g. daylight, cloudy etc, or temp K) in the LR metadata?
View 1 Replies View Relatedhow a raw file looks in LR straight out of the camera using the Adobe Standard profile.
and this is how it looks with the profile set to Camera Standard. It seems as though the Adobe Standard profile is clipping the green channel in the magenta shades for some reason.
Clearly switching to another profile will solve it but my presets often set the profile so it's a bit of a nightmare.
I can't download any images with Lightroom 4.4 from any of my cameras, NIkon NEF, or Canon IMG, or Sony DSC images.I used to download all my images with the previous versions...3.0 I have Mac 10.7.5.

Before working in conjunction with Lightroom and Camera Raw please set the Camera Raw preference to: Save image settings in: Sidecar ".xmp" files. By default Camera Raw will display the image adjustments exactly as performed in Lightroom‟s develop module.

View 1 Replies View RelatedQuick question about Camera Raw Cache: Mine is empty. Always.
I've read that the Develop module stores information on photos it opens in the Camera Raw Cache, while the Library module stores its previews in the LRDATA directory adjacent to the Lightroom Catalog. I've also read that the former can be stored anywhere and is limited to a size specified in Preferences, while the latter must accompany the Catalog file and has no cap on its size.
So why is my Camera Raw Cache always empty? I go in and out of the Develop module, edit, switch among photos within Develop, view images at 1:1 and larger within Develop, etc. Shouldn't that cause cache entries to be generated in the Camera Raw Cache? I've tried moving my Camera Raw Cache from within Preferences, and I have the size of the cache set to 30 GB with plenty of room on the drive, but it's still always empty.
I have 1142 Camera Raw cache files. Do I need them all or can some be deleted?

I did try to reinstall LR3 but without success. I'm with Lightroom from v1 an did upgrade to v2 then v3. I remember that I did remove a folder in the lightroom folder that I thought to be related to LR2 after upgrading to LR3. That's probably when the problem starts to occurs.
what are these missing files and how should proceed to restore them ? Where they installed by an older version ? I'm shooting with a D80 DSLR.
