Don't think this is a dimassociate problem because dimensions of model are fine in paper space. So I save drawing, even tried regen, then export to pdf for customer, and most of the pdf dimensions are jumbled and in paper space scale. Dimenions are not annotative.
View 9 Replies View RelatedIn Civil 3D 2010, the color of the paper background was a darker color and I was able to have yellow text on top of it and be able to edit the text. Now with Civil 3D 2013, the color of the paper background in paper space is white and I can't read the yellow text. I know that you can either turn the paper background on or off, but is ther a way to change its color so that it is darker?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to change the plotter name to 'Adobe PDF' I cannot get the paper size and orientation to change.
I change to 'Adobe PDF', then change the properties to ARCH D drawing size and landscape, click OK, save changes to printer config and when it returns to Plot-Model window nothing is changed. We just switched over from Windows XP to Windows7.
Is there any way to change the paper space(layout) background color?I do not mean the sheet color, but the rest of the space.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have created the code to print out the pages from a drawing using Ilogic and the Print Manager. However, I cannot get the ilogic code via the Print Manager to change either the orientation OR the paper size to suit the print out.
For example, If I have an A3 drawing i can create the Ilogic code for the Print Manager to select the page size of A3 (kPaperSizeA3) within the code, but when I run the code the printer will ONLY select the Default of A4 paper.
The A3 paper is in a different tray but I cannot get the Print Manager to Select the A3 Paper. The printer we are having this issue with is a HP LaserJet 5200...We are also having the same problem of Printing out 1:1 Scale drawing to an A0 Plotter. I cannot get the Print Manager to change the Output Page Size either.
This is for a HP DesignJet 430...I have just tried to use the iLogic Snippet for Printing, and if you change the page size to suit A3 (kPaperSizeA3), the printer asks for a paper size of 312mm x 210mm.... This was with the HP LaserJet 5200.
how to get the Printer output paper size changed through the Print Manager.
How I would change both the model and paper space thickness of a line in AutoCAD 2004? I've tried changing "line thickness" and "line weight" in the properties dialog box but it doesn't seem to matter whether it's 0 or 9,999,999 or any number, it just looks the same, in both the model space and paper space views.
I have a drawing someone else did that uses polylines of different thickness so I have tried to figure out how they did it. Again, looking at the properties dialog box it seems to make no difference what I set the "line thickness" or "line weight" properties to...the line just stays the same size regardless.
I want to change line thicknesses because I'm designing a surface water pipe layout...I want the pipes to be a lot thicker than the lines that represent the actual building so that they will stand out when I plot the drawing.
Trying to change the printable area of custom paper sizes?
I've plotter that allows me to create 5 custom paper sizes for each pc3 file, however after create them, i cant always access to change their printable area, you know adjusting their margins, and the strange thing is that this error doesn’t happen all the time, sometimes after a while trying they work, but just for a couple of times, after that the problem remains.
autocad.png
To be more clear, you can see on the image that it doesn’t recognize the custom paper size i have selected, however it works from time to time, allowing me to edit those margins, and after save them, they work just fine and i can use those paper sizes with no problems.
I've tried to edit the pc3 file through windows, and a message appears saying that an unknown error has occurred.
Can I change the LTSCALE in paper space and in model space interchangeably?
I am struggling with the batt insulation big time. I get it looking perfect in paper space and then I go to model space and move a piece of batt insulation and then when I go back to paper space the LTSCALE of the batt insulation has changed. It's really weird. Batt insulation is killing me. I set the LTSCALE globally as well as each individual batt insulation but it keeps changing without me messign with the LTSCALE. Killing... Me...
When I first draw something on a model space and click the Layout1 tab to see paper space.
The default view port size (the red box) looks like the following.
But I want to maximize the view port size such that (for example) the dotted line to be the defualt view port size in the paper space.
Could I do this by code??
I am currently using ObjectARX 2007 in C#.
Now I'm going to write a code that will change current plot device of the drawing and there isn't a problem here:
acPlSetVdr.SetPlotConfigurationName(acPlSet, newPrinter, "A4");
But how can I leave default paper size not "A4"? For example if there is "A3" it should stay "A3". Because if I go through each drawing I don't know what is the current paper size I just need to change the plot device becuse default has been crashed for example. But if I write "A4" each drawing will have "A4".
Is there a way to change a specific attribute in a block found over x-amount of papers pace tabs?
At current I can only change one tab at a time.
I have been printing successfully on sheet paper with my Epson 4880 and when I tried to switch over to roll paper I consistently get error messages regarding paper settings. The printer indicator shows roll paper.

I don't know how to change it back to normal.
Im trying to print A0 sheets and was just wondering if its possible to change the paper size to 594 x 1682. Pretty much to have 2 A1 sheets in portrait on top of each other.

When print an image, the color change. All the colors are different in the paper.
My printer is Canon ip4200.
I have trouble figuring out dash lines. If i change global scale factor or current object scale in a spedific paper space,
the other page will be affected...
I am useing a Canon Pro 9000 MKII and when I try to print 11x14 paper, it will not alow custom paper size. The Canon printer driver does have custom size but it does not show up in printer settings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm using version 7, I'm trying to create a curled paper effect then paste an image on the "paper". A couple of web sites suggested creating a rectangle then create a path or something like that and then using the pen tool and the "handles" manipulate the corners. I'm not sure if I have the terminology correct but the problem is that when I create the rectangle and go to add the path (the icon looks like a circle with handles on it) it's grayed out and can not be selected and manually creating a path with the pen tool doesn't work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI teach in a large HS and students (and AutoCAD) occasionally stump me. I have architectural templates with layouts set up for Arch D paper. We almost always print to either ANSI B or Arch C paper. I have a routine for students to follow which will properly scale and position the layout on the desired paper size. Occasionally a student will do something to the layout which causes the WCS to be placed other than at the lower left print corner.
The result is the corner of the border line is displaced and half the drawing is off the page. When I check the limits the lower left corner has some very large values (don't know how they got changed). Most of the time we have to create a new layout and copy/paste the border and viewports.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the next problem with PDF printer:
I have configured a special size and assigned to a PC3 file
(1350.00 x 1050.00 mm.)
This is the default printer for some other layouts in some other DWG's as well.
If I print the layout directly from the drawing editor, it creates a PDF with the paper size I assigned, but if I print it using the sheetset, it creates a document with another paper size based on I don't know what.
The plot and publish details window shows the next message when printed from the sheetset
Sheet: BA_00-P-050-0100___ - Plotted
Page setup:
Device name: DWG To PDF.pc3 - plotted to file
Plot file path: ...DesktoppublishBA_00-P-050-0100___.pdf
Paper size: ISO full bleed B0 (1414.00 x 1000.00 MM)
I cannot find the mistake.
I am having problems printing from AC 2013. In one drawing I can print 42" x 380" with no problem but then I open a new drawing and try printing 42" x 315" AC doesn't send it to the printer. In the 42" x 315" drawing if I set my paper lower than 300" it prints fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am building a tool to plot layout content of drawing to PDF/DWF file. The issue I have is that the required output paper size is not a standard paper size (i.e. the paper size does not exists in paper list when the "DWG To PDF.pc3" is selected.
In order to plot programmatically, we have to create a PlotSettingsValidator and call
PlotSettingsValidator.SetPlotConfigurationName(plotSettings, plotDeviceName, mediaName)
For the 3 required arguments:
plotSettings: it is copied from current Layout
plotDeviceNameL it will be "DWG To PDF.pc3"
mediaName: ? this is the one I could not decide, because with the available paper list there isn't one that matches the paper size required by the layout.
When doing plot to PDF manually in AutoCAD, user would get prompted for using the selected device (PDF.pc3)'s default paper or use a cutom paper size. If choosing to use custom paper size, AutoCAD add a custom paper size into PDF.pc3 in memory. Here is what I could not find: the corresponding API of adding custom paper size to PDF/DWF pc3 device to match required layout paper size.
All the PDF plotting samples I can find online (such as Kean's posts on plotting) use a know paper size when SetPlotConfigurationName() is called, thus, not useful.
