AutoCAD Inventor :: Import / Export With VBA To Excel Spreadsheet?

Apr 17, 2013

Im struggeling with creating a code that opens a certain Excel spreadsheet and retrieves / inserts info.

the spreadsheet is a list containing part numbers for purchased components, therefore the list must be filled with information from iproperty. But it has to be where the next available number is. i had this working in iLogic, but have to move it to VBA for better use. the code that worked in iLogic is this one.:

If possible it would be nice if the code at the same time retrieves the new partnumber and saves the active part as this part numeber...

AutoCAD Inventor :: Import Parts List From Excel

Sep 23, 2011

We are trying to switch to a new parts list format, and the goal is to have all of our parts list imported from excel spreadsheets. The problem we are having is that we cannot import from excel and maintain the format from excel.  The problem seems to be with merged cells.  I have tried it both by: 1) Annotate > General > Table and 2) Manage > Insert > Insert Object with no success. I have a non-ideal work-around for this by inserting the "QTY PER ASSY" separately as a sketch symbol.

Attached is a sample of what we would like our parts list to look like. The red rectangle outline is what would be imported from excel.

VideoStudio :: X2 Not Seeing Files Under Import From Folder?

Apr 19, 2011

I'm not sure if the problem I'm having is due to an error in my software, or the age of my computer.

I have an older HP, it's a Pentium D, which how has 4Gb RAM and is running a Win 7, 32 bit system (non hyper threaded). My main drive is only 500Gb, but the 2nd drive is 1.5Tb. I purchased X2 about 18mos ago, had problems with it not loading any videos, then later got into serious HDD issues (later resulting in me replacing the HDD) and never got back around to video editing. So, tried again tonight and am having problems importing video.

I use a Panasonic P&S camera to shoot HD video. I can easily import it via the card reader, and the files come over as Quick Time movies. When I open VS X2, and then under Capture, click on "Import from Folder," I am unable to actually open any folders at the deepest level. I can navigate from the E: drive down a few layers, but never am able to open the folders themselves. I tried dragging a movie file (which I can easily view on my PC using Quick Time) to the top level of E:, and still, it does not show up in the file tree when in Import.

I just installed X2 tonight, and then went and got both the update patches from the Corel site. The HDD is about 6mos old and relatively empty (C: is where programs reside, E: is where photos/video are stored). Install went smoothly.

The other issue I seem to be having is that Corel stops working. That what it says "Program has stopped working."

I don't know if this is a glitch in the program, or if my PC is too old?? It handles Photoshop CS3 and Adobe Lightroom running concurrently, editing large RAW files just fine. Hubby's been out of full time work for 16mos, so upgrades in both software and hardware have been on hold.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Change Location Of The Import Folder?

Mar 6, 2013

Trying to make it where I wouldn't have to deal with the idiosyncrasies of the Project file, I created a default project that was rooted to my top level network drive.

All was fine until I did some importing from other formats.  All of the sudden there was a new top level network folder called imports.

Ok, bitch session aside on the uselessness of project files, is there an entry in the project file details where I can change the location of this folder?

In SW, I was accustomed to importing a file and then saving it where I was going to use it, not in some convoluted folder structure that had no relation to my active working location.

I mean, why on earth would I want a separate folder for every little part I import?

The problem is that these files seem to be single frames .mov files. If I try to import them to another Smoke they will be imported as single files and there are 6000 of them. How can I tell Smoke to treat the individual .mov files as a single sequence. I renumbered the files.

Lightroom :: How To Import Files From Photo Collection In A Folder And Subfolders On Network Attached Storage (NAS) Unit

May 14, 2012

Have just installed Windows LR4 trial, told it to Import files from my photo collection in a folder + subfolders on a network attached storage (NAS) unit. Windows Explorer tells me that there are 10,308 files in 408 folders in the main folder, totalling 38.8gb but on scanning the folder prior to import LR4 tells me that there are only 9,612 photos.

My photo collection folder contains only photos and no other file types.

Why is there this discrepancy ? I've searched around to see whether there is some hidden filter that is excluding certain photo files but cannot find anything of that nature.

AutoCAD Inventor :: Importing MDT 2008 Files To New Folder

Sep 3, 2012

I am having some issues with the importation of some old files (from Mechanical Desktop 2008) to our new Inventor 2013...

I've been trying to use the Tasks Scheduler from my 2008 suite to "Import" my files into a new folder but it doesn't seem to be working. (it creates every folder and subfolder but keep them empty)

I know it's possible to install MDT2009 on an Inventor 2012 suite but it doesn't work with the 2013 version.

Is there a way for me to be able to use the old 2003 objects (3D ones) on Inventor 2013 (or on any other 2013 software?)

Additional info:

I am operating Autodesk inventor pro 2013.

My project is set to a folder C:inventor workspace
